Vrushika Mehta Quits Ishqbaaaz! ~~ Article is back~~

Earlier, we have reported about how Vrushika Mehta's track had been taken back on the show Ishqbaaaz. Vrushika was paired against Kunal Kulbhushan Jaising and played the character Ishaana. Her character had failed to create an impact on the show and she didn't get the screen space that she should have got. Also, the actress didn't get a positive feedback about how her character was sidelined on the show.

After a lot of speculations, it has now been confirmed that Vrushika will no longer be a part of the show. In conversation with a media firm, the producer of the show, Gul Khan, confirmed that Vrushika has quit the show. She also said that it is a creative call and nothing personal.

The actress also said that she has been informed about her stint on the show ending. She also mentioned that there is nothing to hype about it as she feels that it is not the end of the world and she will move onto another project.

We hope Vrushika Mehta comes back on TV soon with a fresh character that gets the screen presence that she deserves!

Hope Vrushika finds a good project

This doesn't sadden or make me angry, perhaps because I was expecting this kind of backlash. However, it does disappoint me. It's discouraging to see that Gul is the kind of person that doesn't let go of grudges, and she wouldn't care for a bit if Vrushika wasn't at fault in all this. She prefers destroying her own self-made amazing story, for some random 10-15 childish, immature fans. And it's even sadder because Kunal-Vrushika could have probably made a name in the history of awesome TV pairings if given the right amount of time, and execution. It's sad for the both of them too. Elas!


And for God sake's GK, don't give us the 'It's not personal' bashan. It's always personal. You just proved it. As much as I love watching OhBros, thank you for destroying the one brother's story I was personally looking forward to the most. Finally you could have made something else than "takkar personalities" repetition that you have a knack for and given us two characters who genuinely meet in their pain and views of the world. You've just disinterested a potential fan in now randomly catching episodes once a while, rather than avidly waiting for the stories to kick in. Someone who belongs to the thousands of fan who've never abused, never so much as said a word and waited "patiently" for your storyline. You should be proud of the kind of professionalism you've just shown. I hope your show fares well, and I'm sure my watching or not watching it daily won't make an iota of a difference; but it's just that karma has a bad way of springing back. Eventually.


To all her fans, I hope you know maintain the same amount of dignity and high spirit Vrushika has. She is a way too genuine a person to not deserve better than this insulting production house. Better things will come her way, and she's absolutely right, it's not the end of the world. It's been a pleasure seeing you all discuss characters to vividly and deeply, hope to see you all around somewhere.


To Kunal fans, I hope we get to see him with someone good again, but just in case, don't be quick to get to like her. Who knows how long the next one will last should her fans demand more scenes? Also, don't demand more scenes of Kunal/Lee either, you might just see it turning into a 2-brother story from a 3-brother one.
