Shivaay and Anika what a mismatched pair or made for each other. I am just so taken with them right now. Both the actors have blown me away with their performance. marvellous... running out of adjectives.
it is my first post in this forum n have been a silent reader for a while. though my hands have been itching to make a post.. time constraints did not make that happen. The last few weeks of Shivika have been simply awesome and their love story is growing by leaps and bounds.. could not resist writing down my thoughts on them.
Anika holds a MIRROR to Shivaay. She has made him feel, experience, think, enjoy and all those thousand little things that a person takes for granted in his/her life. Little joys of life that are... to be savored and cherished.like seeing a baby smile or the first snow...the first..rain...He did not know what was missing in his life until she came into it... she came into his life like a gale blowing him almost off the ship... he held on to his dear ARROGANCE, PRIDE, EGO., OF BEING AN OBEROI. that is all he knows about, not at all emotional or given to little display of emotions...tightly controlled and always keeping the fabric of his family together at any cost. She told him that his NAME...in which he takes so much pride..is nothing but a LOTTERY.. she takes pride in her WORK... not dazed or awed by his power and wealth...When he paid her salary..and questioned her last name...was when he started to think ,reflect on her words... his being born to wealth and privilege was just an accident of birth..nothing else.His foundation is shaking... by her words and actions... and he is afraid to let go of the safe and familiar... he hates the way she is making him THINK, ACKNOWLEDGE... her opinion...grudgingly he accepts... never to her... or even to himself... she is his EQUAL in every way... standing toe to toe and facing him in the eye while speaking her mind.
HE was very keen when she said.. that girls like her never fall in love...and he was deeply affected by her words... long days of hard work...with no time to even think of living let alone dying or loving. His first insight into what makes her tick...He appreciates that she is hard working...knows her place in the family. Anika has been careful to never wish for the life of wealth of the O's. so refreshing to see someone like her who is not dazzled by the glitter and glamour of the O's. She does an honest job and is proud of her integrity. I think...the turning point was when she agreed with his views on marriage that it is a DEAL between two people and each should stick to the bargain made. When she revealed a bit about herself...he was seeing the dreams that her words evoked in him... Before we know it we are going to see him smile in a silly way...hum... and Omru are going to be there to watch him...and tease him no end.
She makes him come ALIVE in a way no one else can..other than his Omru. He was..cold and sweaty..when he thought she was propositioning him at their breakfast date...what a scream that was..His sigh of relief at the end was obvious to all but to Anika. She has built a wall...10 feet high and thick...around her heart... as she has been at the receiving end of LIFE. Her undaunted spirit in the face of adversity... and hard times.. has found her a secret admirer.
Someone who understands him perfectly... and his moods... his affection for his bros.. and his loyalty to the family has begun to melt the ice around his heart. The way she called him a SORE LOSER after the scare dare..was a hoot. None...ever spoke to him that way and because of her... everyone is getting emboldened to say what is on their mind.
The party organized to reunite Shitia LOL... and the drunken confessions was..excellent. Both speaking their hearts out. She feeling safe and secure in his arms and he held her to him..all night long. He so desperately wanted to see the video on the phone that Rudra took and wanted to hear her confess once more. He was elated and his face echoed the nuances of his feelings while watching the video along with her. given a choice, i don't think he would have ever deleted the video.. but then he has a sharp mind..and so am sure he will replay them often.
He is very much aware that he is hands off to Anika as she sees him as an ENGAGED MAN and she has too much self respect to poach on someone else territory. He is being drawn to her against his will. She is proving to be irresistible and his intense looks at her when she came for Ganpati festival...is like a moth being drawn to the flame. From mistrust to tacit understanding, shivika have grown by leaps and bounds with the latest convo on visarjan being a case in point.He feels her presence around him and when she is not... it is like the brightness gone out of the room. The way he listened to her and caught on her slip... that she too does not have a great relation with Bhagwan, shows his sensitivity towards her. Just that in his pig headedness and arrogance he does not give her credit but in his heart he does. He is in too deep..when he uttered the word...FAMILY... which shocked Anika to the core and also OMRU along with the rest. Dadi...senses..and that is why she sent Anika to speak to her Billu. Both are mature, responsible, have shouldered the burdens of the family and their bro means everything to them. When she said one has to LEARN to smile through the difficulties and all are equal before Bhagwan, may have brought back the hurtful hateful words he hurled at her... not too long ago..questioning her lineage, her name. her all.
Anika by her words in the latest episode.. has revealed that she knows him very well. She was deferential, teasing, wistful, hopeful and gauged his reactions PERFECTLY. Love Bagad Billa and Cute Anika.
