"She's family."
It came so suddenly, the realization. The revelation. So sudden, yet so peaceful. What was it about her that made him shun all his inhibitions, all his prejudices, all his ideals? What was it about her that drove him insane and yet filled him with peace? What was it about her that made him want to break all the walls that he'd so carefully built all these years, and laugh - laugh without any care and concern for the world, or his reputation? What was it about her that turned him into a better version of himself? What was it about her that brought such a telling difference in him? Why was he so affected by her? He didn't care - that was the lie he told himself every time his brothers teased him about her. That was a lie he told himself too, because he was scared of admitting that this woman was changing him, not just changing him, but she was changing his entire sphere of existence, everything that he so ambitiously learned to build - his persona, his perception, his being.
"Pyar hai."
That's what he blurted out while Malika was trying to explain his relationship with her. Pyar. How did he come to say it out loud so casually without choking on the word? How did he not turn his color with indignation at that implication? Because he knew the truth - pyar hai. The revelation came to him like a desert song, slow and soft. It didn't shook him, or terrorize him, or fill him with indignation. It quietly settled into his heart and filled him with such ecstasy which he never experienced before. Not even when he cracked an almost impossible and tedious deal. This feeling was different, unique, and beautiful, and most importantly, this feeling was special, very special as it belonged to him, and only him. He was the sole owner of this feeling and he didn't intend to share it with anyone, not even with the person who was responsible for invoking these feelings in him. He will selfishly revel in this ecstasy, and she will never know.
Fin.
That was it. Told you it isn't very good. 😆 Leave in your comments. Thank you. Ta!
