I would still like to think it's gayatri who is dead. That would make the show more interesting. If the girl is dead it would be obvious that goop did it. But Gayatri's death will bring intrigue.

From the context, its Gayatri who is dead. But yes it can easily be that the writer couldn't express his words properly in the spoiler. Because the only reason to kill Gayatri off will be to put a better looking female and more importantly a good actor in the place of a vamp

There is no well defined antagonist in this show. If Gayatri is gone , plain romance will not attract the TRP audience
