It was a special occasion for women as they celebrated Karva Chauth yesterday. Deepali Dhingra checks out what our leading ladies of television did on this day...
These women have donned festive saris, applied henna on their hands and kept fasts for their reel-life husbands in Hindi soaps. But nothing can beat the special feeling, when it comes to keeping a Karva Chauth for their reallife hubbies. Yesterday was the day when
women all across Mumbai dressed in their finest and observed a day-long fast for their husbands' good health.
Romance truly makes the world go round and so is the case with Shilpa Saklani. It was her second Karva Chauth this year and she was all geared up for the occasion. Recalling the first year, Shilpa reminisces that she'd been keeping unwell at that time and had been on antibiotics. "Apurva was very worried and told me that it was okay if I didn't keep the fast, but I insisted on observing it. This time, he was pretty much chilled about it," she smiles. With so much love doing the rounds, is it a wonder then that these couples look truly made for each other?
