Flashback:
Jodha: Jalal are you ready for the party? (Jodha came out from the bathroom after getting dressed and saw Jalal standing talking on the phone)
Jalal (turns around and faces Jodha...he puts the phone on hold): Jodha one minute...I am talking to someone important on the phone
Jodha (goes downstairs and waits for Jalal to come...she waits for almost half and hour and still no sign of Jalal...she wanted to go upstairs but stopped herself fearing his anger...she decided to wait again..after a while the phone rings...she picks it up...) hello
Meera: Hey where are you guys? We are all waiting
Jodha: ohh umm sorry Meera...we will be there shortly (she sees Jalal coming down the stairs) Ok I have to go..we are leaving soon..bye
Jalal (comes up to Jodha): Who was that?
Jodha: woh umm Meera thi...she was asking where were we
Jalal: ohh...so let's go...
Jalal holds Jodha by the waist and leads her to the car...Jodha kept quiet throughout the whole ride..she was excited that after a long time she would be able to meet her dad and her friends...even if it is for the last time...she controlled her tears remembering what Jalal had said to her last week...she looks down on her wrist with the bruise...she was glad that the bruise from the bangles was sort of faded and covered by her bangles...soon they reached her house...both got out of the car and walked inside the house...she was welcomed by her dad...she hugs her dad...
Rajiv: how are you beta?
Jodha: I am good
Rajiv: Why were you two late? I was waiting for you guys
Jalal: I had some work to finish up
Rajiv: Ohh umm come in...
Jodha: Ramu Kaka kaha hai?
Rajiv: He is in the kitchen along with Meera
Jodha: Ohh I will go meet both..I will be right back (she goes in the kitchen and hugs Ramu Kaka and than Meera)
Ramu Kaka: How are you beti?
Jodha: I am good...what are you guys making? (excited)
Ramu Kaka: Meera is making a chocolate cake for your dad and I was making some dinner..she wanted to learn how to cook...
Meera: Yeah Jodha you would die for this cake...
Jodha: Since when did you want to learn cooking?
Meera (looks down): what you mean? I was always interested but never got the time...
Jodha (looks at Meera suspiciously): Why do I have a feeling that you are hiding something?
Meera: Jodha I am not...anyway so tell me how is your marriage life? You have completely forgotten us..you don't call or anything
Jodha (remembers her moments with Jalal): ohh umm its good...I have just been busy at home...sorry
Meera: Its ok...you don't have to get upset...
Jodha: Ramu Kaka let me help as well...why don't you go and set up the table or something...I can make the rest
Ramu Kaka: but beti you came after a long time
Jodha: This is my home as well na...so let me cook..now go (Ramu Kaka left and was only Meera and Jodha talking and catching up...)
Meera (her phone rang): Hello...yeah ok...hold on (Jodha looked at her all weird) umm Jodha I will be right back
Jodha: Who was that?
Meera: I will be back..sorry (Jodha looked at Meera as she disappeared from the kitchen...she got busy with cooking...she didn't want to be in the same room as Jalal...she didn't want anyone else to see especially her dad how he behaves...Jalal and her dad were getting along slowly...knowing how both are very opinionated and stubborn...she didn't want to think about today and not seeing anyone or have them see pain in her eyes...)

Jalal and Rajiv were having a drink toghether...Jalal kept looking toward the kitchen hoping to catch Jodha..they saw Meera run out of the kitchen and out...Ramu Kaka was setting up the table...
Rajiv: Where is Jodha Ramu Kaka?
Ramu Kaka: Ohh she is cooking in the kitchen...
Rajiv: What! she knows that she doesn't have to cook
Ramu Kaka: I tried talking to her but she wouldn't listen...she could be stubborn
Rajiv (shakes his head...to Jalal): I hope she is not stubborn at home either...
Jalal: of course not...
Rajiv (didn't like the tone of his voice): How is she doing there anyway? Meera told me that she doesn't go to college anymore...school was very important to her
Jalal (looks at him with a straight face): Of course she would be happy...I get her whatever she wants...as for her college...after marriage comes a lot of responsibilites so I (stressing the word "I") decided that it would be better for her to stay home...
Rajiv: well it is her future...Jodha should've decided what she wants to do
Jalal (smirks): Well I am her husband...so I would know what is best for my wife papa
Rajiv (didn't like the sarcastic tone of Jalal...he was certain that there is something that Jodha is hiding): hmm excuse me I will be right back (he gets up and goes to the kitchen...he sees his Jodha standing there cooking...he paid attention to her...he saw something different in Jodha...she wasn't as bubbly as she used to be..she seemed to be dazed out...he went inside and placed a hand on her shoulder...Jodha turned around and saw her dad
Jodha (forced smiled): papa look I made your favorite food
Rajiv: Jodha is there anything you are hiding from me?
Jodha (was taken back by the question): umm no..what makes you say that?...papa (side hugs her): I am very happy...Jalal is so nice and always buy me anything before I could even say it...he keeps me like a princess (almost chokes...she holds back her tears)
Rajiv (sigh reliefs): I am so glad to hear that...come lets go outside...Ramu Kaka will do the rest...(Jodha tries to protests but she didn't want to make her dad sad and reluctantly goes outside...she sees Jalal sitting outside looking at her..she lowers her eyes and goes to help set up the table...Rajiv couldn't say no...Jalal watched as Jodha set the table...Jodha could feel Jalal's eyes on her...she tried to compose herself at the best she could...Meera comes running in and goes straight to Jodha...)
Jodha: Where were you?
Meera: Rohit said his car broke down so I had to go pick him up...
Jodha (was scared...she feared what would Jalal do if Rohit comes and talks to her...she looks at Jalal who was now talking to her dad): ohh (Rohit comes in)
Rohit: Happy birthday Uncle...this is for you (hands him the present...Jalal looks at him...both quietly says hi to each other...Rohit sees Jodha and Meera talking...) excuse me uncle I will go say hi to Jodha...
Rajiv: Sure beta (Jodha saw Rohit coming toward her and with his each step the more she feared Jalal as he looks at her with anger filled eyes...she knew that she didn't have a choice but to talk to Rohit or else everyone would be very suspicious)
Rohit (side hugs Jodha): How are you?
Jodha: I am good...hows everything with you?
Rohit: Well after completion I will start working with my dad and help him out with the company
Meera: yeah for once he is doing something useful...although I feel bad for the people who have to see his ugly face at work everyday (laughs...Jodha smiles)
Rohit: Ohh yeah I feel bad for your future husband who has to see your monkey face everyday or wait worse than that being stuck with you forever (laughs..brings his hand up for Jodha to high-five...she reluctantly high-fives him)..
Ramu Kaka calls everyone for dinner...Jalal stands up and walks over to Jodha...he stands next to her...Jodha could feel the tension in his body...now she didn't want to go home and be with him alone...they both take a seat together along with everyone else...Rohit and Meera sat together joking with each other...Jodha didn't look at Jalal at all but she could tell that he is mad...she tries to ignore the tension and act as normal as possible...occasionally she would smile at Rohit and Meera or her father whenever they would talk to her...in a way she was glad that Jalal didn't do anything in front of everyone...she places both hands on top of the table as Ramu Kaka serves everyone...Jalal puts his hand on her waist...Jodha looks at him...she grabs his hand and tries to remove it...he grabs her hand and squeezes it hard...she blocks out the pain...she pleads with her eyes for a no...throughout the whole dinner Jalal didn't speak at all just noded whenever someone would ask him a question...the night gets closer to be over the more her fear increases...a the end of the dinner Ramu Kaka brings out a cake that Meera made he blows out the candles and cuts the cake...
Rohit: wait guys before you dig in...I have an important news to tell...(everyone looks at him confused...he looks at Meera) Meera will you marry me? (everyone drops their spoons...Meera looks down blushes)
Rajiv: What? You guys always fight...when did this happen?
Rohit: Of course we always fight that's who we are..I don't know how but we both started liking each other and one thing led to another we knew we wanted to be together forever...(Jodha looks at Meera who was happy..she felt jealous...) Well Meera I am waiting for your answer...
Meera: Haan...(everyone claps...Rohit feeds the first bite to Meera and vice versa...)
Jalal: umm we should go now...I have to go to work tomorrow (Jodha knew that this was it...)
Rajiv: So soon...(he gets up and hugs Jodha...she goes and hugs everyone) Make sure you call...we will meet soon...
Jalal (puts his arm around her): Alright bye...(They both walk out..Jodha looks back at her friends and her dad waving goodbye to her...how ironic...)

Jalal stood there with his back towards Jodha...it felt as if time stood still...both didn't talk to move...Jalal slowly turned around to look at Jodha...
Jalal: Jodha I came here to talk to you

Jalal (holds her by the shoulders and pulls her towards him in a haste): Why are you doing this to me? Why can't you admit that you are my Jodha...
Jodha (pushes him off): Haan!!! I am Jodha...but that Jodha has been dead for four years!!!! Now it is Rajni Kapoor standing in front of you!!! (holds his collor) Is that what you wanted to hear? Jalal looks at her with pain...he brings his hand up to touch her face but Jodha shoves him off...) Don't you dare touch me...what are you here for now? You want to abuse me more? hold on let me make it easier for you (she comes back with a stick in her hand...she holds the stick in front of Jalal) here! You can hit me...i won't complain just like other times...here! (Jalal moves back) What happened? You don't like the stick? ohuh wait I remember you loved slapping me...(she comes and stands in front of him...and using his hands she starts hitting herself...Jalal shoves her away)
Jalal: Enough Jodha...please stop...
Jodha: That's what I used to say to you..."Please Jalal..stop..don't hit me..." did you ever listen to me? NO!!! You took everything away from me...my father, my friends, my laughter...everything...what was my fault? That I loved you? Or that I thought my love would change you...but I was so wrong Mr. Muhammad...(she cries...) for FOUR years I had nightmare...FOUR YEARS! (she shouts) I watched the pain in my fathers eyes when he found out the truth...I watched him walk away from me when I was running away...I feared you...whenever you used to come near me I would think you were going to hit me again...what was my fault Jalal?
Jalal (has tears in his eyes...no longer able to control himself...): Please Jodha I know I was wrong and I realized my mistake...please believe me I have changed...how do you want me to prove it to you? I will punish myself...tell me Jodha..I will do anything (he gets on his knees and begs her)
Jodha: Just leave (she turns around...still crying...Jalal gets up and walks out...)
Jalal (turns around and looks at Jodha) I will prove it to you Jodha that I have changed...I know there is nothing I can do to relieve you for the pain I gave you but I will prove that I have changed (he leaves...Jodha drops on the ground crying...she looks up and sees Suraj standing there shocked...)
Jodha: Suraj what are you doing here?
Suraj: Rajni or should I call you by Jodha..
Chapter 15
Did I just heard everything right? Or am I imagining things? Jodha...(tears escape from his eyes...he looks down at the flowers of bouquet in his hands) I came here to give you a surprise at the end I am the one being surprised...so much pain and emotions you had bottled up inside you and yet you didn't find the right to tell me about all this? (he looks at Jalal's retreating figure...walking out of the house like a dead body...he observes him...he saw guilt and remorse on his face...) Jalal Beg Muhammad the greatest and the youngest businessman in Delhi...who has everything he wants and needs at the snap of a finger and yet has nothing at all...(he smirks...but soon becomes sad hearing Jodha crying...) Jodha...had I known how much pain you are in because of Jalal Beg Muhammad then I swear on your head I would've killed him long time back...(he quickly wipes his tears...he throws the bouquet on the floor and stands in front of Jodha...he saw her crying on the floor on her knees..it pained his heart to see her in this much pain...she saw him standing there...shock and fear were evident in her eyes...) am I not suppose to know the truth at all?
Jodha: Suraj?
Suraj: Should I call you Rajni or Jodha? (she looks down...why are you not looking straight at me...he goes closer to her hearing her break into fresh new tears...tell me the truth...)
Jodha: you heard everything...(he saw her closing her eyes...she looks straight into his eyes...) It is true..I am Jodha...(she looks down on the floor...and narrates her whole story...he grew angry and angry with each words that came out of her mouth...he just stood there...his legs felt numb..he couldn't move or know how to react...she looks at him after finishing...stared at him waiting for something to say...)
Suraj: Why couldn't you tell me this before? Did you not trust me?
Jodha: I was scared...I didn't think my past would come in front of me...
Suraj (goes up to her and hugs her): I am here now...(he looks at her and cups her face) I love you Jodha...your past doesn't bother me...(she is looking into his eyes..searching for something...maybe truth of whatever he said is whether true or not...she hugs him with new tears of relief and joy...) you didn't respond back to what I said...(he looks at her again) I need to know...he looks at her eyes...they were confused...
Jodha: What do you mean?
Suraj: You didn't respond back to my I love you comment...
Jodha (looks down): I feel the same way..you know that...(he smiles...I got what I wanted to know...you gave me the answer without saying anything...) Suraj I need to know what are you thinking after knowing the truth...
Suraj: What is there to say Rajni...ohh umm I mean Jodha...I got what I needed to know...do you trust me?
Jodha (trust? the last person I trusted broke my heart...she looks at Suraj...I know you are different..and you will never hurt me the way he did...) of course I trust you..trust is the only thing we have right now...I trust you even with my life Suraj...(she hugs him again...that is all I need to know Rajni...you gave me all the answers)

Jalal's pov:
Jodha is right...I have made her life a living hell...she doesn't deserve me at all...I don't deserve a second chance...I deserve ALL the pain I have caused Jodha...I killed Jodha with my own hands...I don't deserve her forgiveness...i don't deserve forgiveness even from God...I deserve to rot away in hell...(he looks at his hands) with these hands I hurt my Jodha...where in return all she asked was for my love...she gave up everything for me and what have I done for her nothing...I couldn't even see the pain and the sacrifice she made for me...who am I to ask for her forgiveness...she is human after all...I don't deserve anyone in my life...(he thinks about Suraj) I know now Jodha...Suraj will keep you happy...he will give you everything that you ever wanted in life..everything that you had expected from me...I know that Suraj will complete that hole...he will take away all your pain that you suffered because of me...I dont' deserve your love anymore...I only deserve the pain that I caused you...the pain of separating you of your family...taking away your smile...your friends...and turned your love into fear and hatred...I need to be punished and feel your pain...(Jalal sees a church...he goes inside...he puts his hand on top of a candle..ignoring the pain) I promise after today you will not see my face...I only deserve the pain and suffering I have caused you...I never deserved you Jodha...(he was out of his thoughts when priest pushed his hand away from the candle...)
Priest: What are you doing?
Jalal (smiles...): feeling what it is like to be in pain..what it is like to suffer (he walked away from the church leaving the priest dumbfounded...he walks along the road with tears...not knowing where his destination lies ahead...he goes back to his hotel...he takes his shirt off...stares into space...)
Flashback:
Jalal drags Jodha in the house after the party...he throws her on the sofa...she looks at him with fear...Jalal picks up the glass table in front of him and breaks it into million pieces...Jodha jumps seeing his anger and rage higher then usual...she silently watches him break everything into tiny pieces..she was too scared to even speak or move...she just sat there what seemed like eternity...
Jodha: Jalal (Jalal looks at her with pure rage...she looks down unable to see his anger anymore..she knew that if she says anything more it will further anger him...he comes closer to her and makes her stand by holding her hair...she screams in pain...) Please...let go of me...I didn't do anything...he throws her on the floor where the broken pieces of glass were...Jalal takes out his belt and holds it in his hand...she stops herself from screaming...and looks back at him with fear...she slowly started crawling back as Jalal kept coming closer and closer to her...he bends down near Jodha...
Jalal: I will show you Jodha what you did tonight...
Jodha (crying): "jaa jaa Jalal" (stuttering..) "please" (he holds her arm and picks her up...digging his nails into her arm...ignoring her pleads, her blood and her screaming...He wraps the belt in his hand...he throws her against the wall...causing her to hit his head...she starts walking backwards...her head started to bleed...she stumbles into some furniture...Jodha pleads with folded hands as she walks backwards...he hits himself with the belt... "please let go of me...I will not go anywhere after today...I will not talk to anyone either...I will only do as you say..." Jalal pulls her close to him by holding on to her wrist...Jodha is crying hysterically...fearing...
Jalal: I don't like it when someone else touches you (he holds her arm..he speaks to her with anger) You knew that...(he holds her face forcing her to look at him...she lowers her eyes...unable to meet his eyes with fear) LOOK AT ME! (Jodha jumps and looks at him...) you always...always make the same mistake again and again and again! (he throws her down on the floor...) Jalal hits himself again...
Jodha: I won't make any mistakes anymore..I promise...(crying...she felt too weak to stand up...her hands were shaking out of fear...)
Jalal: It is too late for promises...(he drags her to a room...and drops her on the bed...she crawls back in the bed...) I will wipe every place where he touched you...(She looks at him with wide eyes...)
End of flashback
Jalal keeps beating himself with the belt...remembering the physical and mental tortures he did to Jodha...blood starts dripping down his back and chest...he ignores everything and keep hitting himself with the belt until he faints...there was blood everywhere on the carpet...

I am glad that Suraj found out the truth...but deep down I regret of not telling him the truth any sooner...I will not live in fear anymore...Jalal don't bother me anymore..I am not alone...I have Suraj with me now...showing me the ray of hope that I was looking for...but there is something in Suraj that I noticed...it seems like he is hiding something from me since last night...I will not let anyone or anything come between us now...papa would be very happy to know that I found someone else...papa? It has been so long since I spoke to him...I want to go back to my home now...see my papa and my friends...everything is over now...I am not scared of him anymore...Jodha looks at Sura who just barged in her cabin...
Jodha: "Suraj is everything alright?" The look on Suraj face tells me something is very wrong..but what...did something happen to him? I am getting scared with each passing minute..why isn't he looking at me?
Suraj: "umm Rajni I don't know how to tell you this" My heart beat increases hearing that tone from him...I don't want to know what happened...I think I know what he might talk to me about...
Jodha: "What Suraj..what happened?" Panic starts to cover my whole body...
Suraj: "Jalal..."
Chapter 16
I rush with Suraj to the hospital where Jalal is...Suraj wouldn't tell me why Jalal is in the hospital and I don't know if I want to know..I myself don't know why I am even here..I am so confused...no matter how badly Jalal treated me I could never think ill of him...I would never want something bad happening to him...I sometimes question myself why? Why wouldn't I want him to suffer the way I did? We stopped in front of a room...I let go of Suraj's hand..I couldn't go in the room...I can't face him...
Suraj goes to the nurse and asks about Jalal..."What!...how can you even say that...where were you people when he did that!"
Jodha goes up to Suraj..and places a hand on his shoulder.. "Suraj what happend?"
Suraj: Jalal left...
Jodha: "Why was he even in the hospital?" (I don't even know why I asked this question)
Suraj (hesitates): I don't know how to tell you this but
Jodha: Suraj I think I can it...if I could endure so much before then this is nothing to me...tell me what happend?
Suraj: I had received a call in the morning from Jalal's hotel staff saying he hited himself with a belt to a point where he could've died due to the blood loss...after they found my contact number from his wallet they contacted me (Jodha puts her hand on her heart and cries...)
Jodha: Where is he now?
Suraj: I don't know...the staff is saying that he left in the morning without letting anyone know...they don't know where...
Jodha: What do you mean they don't know...(she holds his collar) You have to find him...(Suraj looks at her shocked...he places his hands on top of hers)
Suraj: Rajni...
Jodha (realizes what she did...she lets go of his collar): I am sorry...I want to go home...I can't stay here anymore...I feel suffocated...
Suraj: Sure...let's go...(he puts his arm around her shoulder and leads her out of the hospital...)

Two days later someone knocks on Jodha's house...she opens the door and drops on her knee when she looks at the person standing before her...he puts his hands on her shoulder and makes her stand up...he wipes her tears and hugs her...Jodha hugs him tight with tear of happiness...
Jodha: Papa...
Rajiv: Ssshh Jodha..I am so happy you are alive
Jodha (looks at him confused): What do you mean?
Rajiv: After you ran away..police had found a girl wearing your clothes and your mangalsutre so we all assumed you were dead including Jalal...but you have no idea how happy I am to see you standing before me (cries and hugs her)
Jodha: How did you find me?
Rajiv: Jalal had come to my house yesterday...
Jodha: What! How!
Flashback:
"Tum! What are you doing here? How dare you even show me your face!"
Jalal (folds his hand in front of him while Rajiv looks at him shocked): I know I have no right but I hope later on you can find it in your heart to forgive me
Rajiv: who am I to forgive you? The person who had the right to forgive you died...(tears started forming in his eye) Now leave before I call the police...
Jalal: I came here to give you your happiness back and I will be gone forever...please just give me a chance..please (folds his hands in front of him)
Rajiv (turns his back toward Jalal): Alright...say whatever you want and then get the hell out of here
Jalal: I came here to give you this (Rajiv turns around and takes the paper from Jalal) I had transferred all of my property under Jodha right after our marriage now this is no use of me...
Rajiv: You think by giving me this will make me forgive you?
Jalal: No nor I want your forgiveness I know I cannot be forgiven but I am only here to give you back the thing I snatched from you
Rajiv; What do you mean?
Jalal: On this piece of paper is the address of your daughter Jodha...(Rajiv is shocked)
Rajiv: What kind of joke is this?
Jalal: It is not a joke...please go there as soon as possible she needs you...
Rajiv: ohh so you are saying that Jodha is alive and you didn't do anything to her? You just left her? Why all of a sudden?
Jalal: Please just go there...I don't have answers to your questions all I want for her to be happy...I am leaving forever...(Jalal turns to go but stops) if you can give this to her (puts her mangalsutre on the table) I have no right on this anymore...

Jodha holds the mangalsutre in her hand and the property papers...
Rajiv: I can't believe you are really here...I won't let you stay here anymore...you are coming back to Delhi today...(Jodha ignores everything and looks at the mangalsutre with tears in her eyes)
Jodha: Did he say where he is going?
Rajiv: No and I am happy..I don't want him near you either...I want you to start your life all over again..pretend he doesn't exist anymore...
Jodha (nods her head): Let me make you tea and some food
Rajiv (hugs her): I missed you so much and the food from your hands...you know Rohit and Meera are going to be so happy to see you (Jodha sadly smiles...) do you know both have two kids now...but both are still fighting with each other like little kids...
Jodha: I will be right back with food...(Jodha goes to the kitchen...and holds the counter for support...you really are gone...I should be happy but am not...why am I not happy? I want to hate you but I can't...I fear you but at the same time deep down I still love you..cries looking at the mangalsutre...)
Rajiv: Jodha...(who comes in the kitchen) What happened? Why are you crying?
Jodha: Nothing papa...I will make the tea right now...I am just happy to see you after a long time that's all...
Rajiv (hugs her): Me too...I will be outside...(Jodha nods)
Rajiv eats the food prepared by Jodha...he notices that she is quiet...lost in her own world...Now I can start my life with Suraj just like we planned...I don't have to fear Jalal anymore...I mean that is what I wanted from the start then what is stooping me now...)
Rajiv: Jodha..Jodha..what happened? Why are so lost?
Jodha: huh nothing...umm papa I want you to meet someone
Rajiv: who?
Jodha: Suraj...he is the one that helped me all these years. He gave me a job and a shelter...and want to get married
Rajiv: What! I couldn't be more happier...I am glad you are finally moving on...where is he?
Jodha: He will be here any minute...(Sadly smiles at her father)
