Hello people, Hope all of you are doing good. Well I am writing a post on the epi after a long time, for I could not control myself tonight. I had to write and share what I felt.
After such a long time we got to see a glimpse of our old Shravan and to say that it was no less than a moment of ecstasy would be an understatement. Though I cannot tell how much I LOVED the li'l ShraMan scene when Shra has to use the loo but wifey is shampooing 😆😆 Awww poor baby😆...Namik was so adorable there 😆 Subtle yet so cute. (Damn! their nok-jhoks are gonna be one hell of an experience and I am already dead imagining them)

Anyways so back to topic, that scene being some other level of cuteness, I thought that was all. But I was wrong, for what followed, left me with moist eyes. :')

So chachi instigates Shravan and teases him saying now his everything is to be shared with Sumo and he in his fake anger blurts that no he wont let it happen in future but just for tonight as its Suman's first night. And that revelation/outburst leaves him much more hurt than he thought. I felt that transition from chachi teasing him to he straight going to have a drink had a lot to do with his frustration to not being able to hold his mask which is slipping terribly out of his holds. Today he got married to the woman he has loved the most in his life, a day that was his day's dream and night's wish but only he knows that there's nothing about this day he can feel good or happy about it. Even if he wants to. He is afraid to enter their room...to face her, for his love might win over his hatred. He somewhere wants to feel happy for all this ...but the demons within him dont let him. Thats why the question to the servant..."Aap khush hain apni shaadi se?" ...

And when the servant leaves, he is left all by himself, confessing he had come alone and will go alone, there wont ever be anyone for him. 😭 Which is why he can not be happy about this day even if he got a life-partner for life, the same life-partner he had ever wished.

He gets up and tries to walk, but falls and hurts himself - He winces and then starts laughing at himself *Namik if I can ever give you the tightest of hugs for this one* The fall is the symbolism of life for him. As many times as he starts to get up again, life pulls him down with more force, hurting him, giving him pain. He laughs at the irony. He laughs at the tryst of destiny. 💔

And it's when he is in the middle of all this chaos...unable to decide whether to be happy or sad...how to let his mask from slipping away...how to not let his love win over his hatred...when he has fallen and hurt himself, HIS BEST FRIEND COMES TO UPLIFT HIM!!

Well isnt that shes been doing all this while? Yes she used to take benefit of him with full haq. But didnt that haq in a way make him feel good about himself? Yes she used to totally control him and make him do all her jobs but didnt that uplift his soul with confidence? Her friendship had always made his happiness soar, given him reasons to smile, to fight, to work, to perform, to even act! And she does it again. His Sumo comes to uplift him once again. And as soon as she apologizes to him, takes the initiative, all hsi love comes pouring out. He breaks down, sobs in his guilt of hurting her. I mean if there can be ever a love so beautiful. All the time he had been hurting her, he had hurt himself much more. So much that it makes im cry in guilt 😭

I feel guys there could NEVER have been a more beautiful portrayal of what Shravan Malhotra is and what his heart was going through at that moment. For the man he is, he just needs her to take the most little of initiative...well because he is fed up and tired of taking the first step (and rightly so)...He is tired of getting rejected and feeling left alone. He is tired of feeling worthless. And thus when she takes the slightest of initiatives to let him know her love, he is simply there, with all his heart open in front of her, as if he had been waiting for her to open her arms so that he can go and embrace her and stay there for a lifetime! 😳

All in All, I can only say that I have never really seen a love of this kind being ortrayed on indian tv. A love that never fades, but only deepens with hues of passion and sincerity. A love which gets pained even in the thought of giving pain to the other. Its sad we have to wait till friday to see what happens next but I so wish and pray this time he doesnt lose his strength given to him by his childhood friend and Sumo too doesnt shoo him away leaving him scarred another time. Here's hoping let their be atleast some light, some love this time!

PS1 It goes w/o saying but Namik, TAKE A BOW dude, the way you pulled that whole drinking and then fall and then the break down scene with such elan (that too when u had been sick), YOU MADE SHRAVAN YOUR OWN TONIGHT, in every way (if any was left even)...If there wasn ta Namik, there wont be a Shravan ❤️

PS2 I hope I made some sense...jst too over-whelved with the epi😳

Beautifully written Mallika 👏
A love that never faded, eternal, stubborn, unyielding love, it wins hands down.
There is a saying in my language about war "If this army loses, will any other win ?" , meaning no chance, that with so strong an army you can never lose and this love is ShraMan's army.
Nothing, no one will ever win against it, be it their own ego's or manipulations, nothing stands a chance. And teda Shravan is no match at all as his mask is already slipping. He falls as teda Shravan but his love will lift him up, as the seedha one.
Would love to comment more but I haven't watched it, saving it for tonight and also short on time but beautiful post as always.

Word.
Can there be a love more beautiful?
No, absolutely not. Their (his) love is boundless,so passionate yet so poisonous. It has the longing of an unrequitted lover, the selflessness of deep friendship. The toxic hues merge so seamlessly with the beautiful interdependecy of souls that what emerges is as bittersweet as chocolate. The toxic bitter twinge exists but it makes it more palatable , so much more enticing and leaves a wonderful aftertaste.

You know this is the only show where I do not mind the lack of physical interaction between the leads. It does not matter. Their relation is so beautiful, physical expression doesn't feel a necessity.
The journey is so riveting, I wonder how fulfilling the destination will be.

Sometimes I wonder if CVs were not limited by the constraints and had avoided the usesless Preekar track and Aditya ( had their squabbles emerged because of something else, cause admit it they are volatile); what an amazing masterpiece could have been churned. None the less, what has been provided is the best ever on Indian tv with such a realistic touch on emotions.
I really respect the CVs.

Mallika,
An absolutely riveting post!! 👏👏 u have brought alive the episode in your post...

Today was such a day...set off so many emotions on the loose...still trying to gather them.

Today belonged completely to Shravan...(Namik rather)

There is also one thing about Shravan that struck me...

Shravan with all his misgivings that he has let loose on Sumo in his waking moments..yet when he came face to face with his old friend Sumo...his litany of complaints just dried up...he just owned up to his mistakes...his ego was nowhere in sight...

@underlined...absolutely.true...I have had chats with Red, Indrani and J on this issue...This aspect has never hindered the narrative at any point. In fact, i would go to the extent to say...not having it has lent a different dimension to this tale. I am not being a prude when I say this...but really this tale of love, where physical expression has not been stressed upon...yet we can feel the intensity in waves.

Yes there was some dragging with the story not being able to come to a high point...which was provided by Aditya in the tale... I suppose a high point or trigger was essential else the story would have hurtled to a climax without solving a lot of issues that the couple has had. In that sense, this journey took some time to get to this point but was well worth it. its unfortunate that the team is forced to take a few detours now but hopefully things will settle down soon..its worth it..

So true... In Shraman's case the physical tangent has never mattered. Both of them are beautiful individuals (insidde and out) . But Suman has loved the gawky , geeky teen whilst Shravan loved the chubby, bossy teen. Its chashmish superman and wrestler Sumo that always stood at the forefront. All this has beautifully given this story a soulful element, rather than the regular run-of-the-mills-eyelock-duppatta-romance. (*Me hides face for being the hypocrite, having been a huge fan of those romances all throughout my teen years*)

A love like a poetry... gains new comprehensions and deeper understanding with each re-reading.

His love yet stays so innocent, so in a cacoon, it is so easy to believe that he has had zero experience with girls.Indeed he charms them for upmanship but never lowers down his guards. He loves that one teenage girl, still searches her vestiges in the older version, is it a wonder that his hormones and desires have been so dormant. Haq se haath pakadta hai aur jab woh baho mei bharti hai toh khushi mei mann itna baawra ho jata hai ki usse apni baho mei bharne se hi katrata hai.

As for Sumo, she has been the bolder one of the two, so she shows some physical desires.

Perhaps another sign of her well-rounded growth versus his emotionally stunted growth.

You are so good at this... Brilliantly analyzed...

Just my thoughts below on the scene...

Shravan was love in accepting his mistakes... His ego n how he hurt Sumo in his blindness of ego.. What I loved is when the choti Sumo tells him to go n say this to the andarwali Suman... Shravan has hope in his eyes... Hope that their marriage can work... Belief that things will be right in this world... He just needs to confess.. His love, his mistakes... He is still ready to bend if only Sumo would take a step.. Just one step from Sumo n he will cover the rest of the distance... Another thing I loved was he didn't need any third party to make him realize that he was wrong... He felt it himself... That's the most important part... If he has realized it he would rectify it someday... Will he now show the courage to trust his love this time? Will he hold on to the confidence that he derived from his bestie choti Sumo or when in front of the badi Sumo the mask will again come into play... The mask will be on but it's going to be so hard for him to hold on to it...
I disapproved of his drinking today.. But my heart broke for him when he said he is all alone.. He came alone, is alone n will leave te world alone... There's nobody for him... Poor soul..

Shravan is embodiment of love, a love..eternal, sublime...that runs so deep that it has the potential to hurt the most... And that is another facet of his personality... SM personifies love n pain... And for him these two have merged.. I just can't help but feel for Shravan.. For all his issues, he does try to get up but life pulls him down again.. Hurts him more... The man who has so much love in his heart doesn't have a person who he can share it with...

Namik n Palak nailed the scene.. Namik is a powerhouse of talent.. He is so damn brilliant. And Palak too was super yesterday.

How true ! When you say this the first thing that comes to my mind is the the scene in which Shravan is on the phone and is supposed to be talking to Naanu but Sumo is on this end. No words spoken at all but what execution. EKDV has its magic from the beginning.
Remember how on a morning run, he starts somewhere but ends up at TK and Sumo feels his presence ? So many such scenes.
The leads don't even have to be in the same place, sometimes not even in the same frame and yet we feel it. At so many levels, EKDV is a masterpiece.
