They have lots of similarities. They come from families related to films. Both grew up without father figure. Both ruled Bollywood during 90s. Both have younger sisters who entered film industry. Both were associated with Ajay Devgan.

Kajol all the way.. Karishma might win though because she is overrated by the forum.. Her only good performance is Zubeida.. Kajol shined in mediocre films.. She was so effortless and natural.. Compared to Karishma who was very forced and unnatural

I wish Karisma made some more movies post 2003.

Kajol really shined her brightest post her Fanaa comeback. She was absolutely flawless in everything after that, even the dire Dilwale.

Karisma peaked during the Fiza (2000) - Zubeidaa (2001) - Shakti (2002) phase.

Dangerous Ishhq was a poor comeback. So Kajol wins.

More similarities:

- Born in the summer of 1974

- Surpassed their mothers when it came to acting and stardom

- Both signed debut films opposite "star kid" heroes but casting was changed (Kajol signed Bekhudi opposite Saif Ali Khan, but he left the film whereas Karisma's launch was supposed to be "Barsaat" opposite Bobby Deol but she was later dejected in place for Twinkle, and of course the film was delayed for years)

Other trivia:

- The two were offered many films together including: Kuch Kuch Hota Hai, Karan Arjun, Gupt, Ishq - interestingly Karisma was the one who rejected all the offers.

They have appeared together in Yeh Dillagi (special appearance by Karisma) and both appeared in Deewangi (Om Shanti Om) - although sadly they have never shared screen space

Shes a natural! Got the Nutan, Tanuja genes in her. ⭐️

Karisma was good only in DTPH and Zubeida...didnt like her in any other movie.

Some more TRIVIA:

- Kajol was offered "Shakti" before Karisma, although the film was supposed to be Sridevi's comeback

- Kajol was also offered the role of "Nisha" in DTPH which of course was played by Karisma.

karisma has mostly overrated baring zubeida and fiza

even don't get the hype for DTPH except that she danced beautifully

kajol is a natural..she has shined in most of her roles..her best performance was in fanaa imo..she was totally amazing in that role

but in dilwale her acting was below the mark..she appeared mechanical and too focused on her looks instead..something she never did in her peak

While growing up Kajol was my crush. Though I find her very annoying. All she does now is scream and screech. But still I will choose her over Karishma. Karishma is a manly looking actress who can not act.

Problem with Karishma is that she looks like a man to me. Her body movements i.e. dances and just postures are not womanly. She moves in geometrical manner. I therefore never liked her at all.

Kajol is unique in the sense that despite being bad looking she was a great actor. However she goes over the top which I did not like

Overall career wise

Karishma 2/10

Kajol 4/10

So Kajol wins by 2 points
