Abhira : The self-respect queen
Hi everyone, Ive been watching this show from the beginning because like many of you, I loved the promos and what they promised ! And the lead actors looked so appealing and seemed to have such amazing chemistry, especially in the phone promo, that I simply couldn't miss it !
Welcome to the miss the original Promo story club! But today's episode is the latest in a long line of extremely disappointing episodes. I hate how they're rushing the whole patch-up so that they can now rush into the wedding and then the infertility drama (btw why have they copied this track from a leading SP serial?) So many things have left me with such a dissatisfied feeling. I am going to list them down in the hope that writing about them and possibly hearing from others who agree with me will make me feel better about having invested so much time in a show that for me, is now effectively ruined:1. Dev hasn't apologised to the Bose family for all the drama he did at Sona's engagement or for the pain he caused them. A few kids carrying 'Im sorry' boards doesn't cut it.Didnt you know that Sona just wanted him to show up outside her door..the kids carrying placards was a BONUS!😉2. He's back to making flowery speeches which seems to be all that he's good for in this 'relationship'Welcome to the Hero who is all talk and no action club!3. Violins and flowers and cutesy stuff are all very well, but when is he going to stand up and be a man?? Shaheer is so very good-looking and super hot and a talented actor. That's what makes it even more difficult to see him reduced to playing a weak, snivelling mess of a man / cheesy lover/ selfish stalker. He could have been so much more! He has the look and the talent for it ðŸ˜ðŸ˜4. I could never respect a man who could only 'take his own decisions' after his mother has taken them. Why oh why has Sona caved in so easily? 2 episodes ago she was berating him for his inability to do anything without his mother's approval and now she's ok with that??The main lead who was waiting for his Mom's nod and the female lead just waiting for the guy to show up!5. When he said to her today, "Promise me you wont leave me again" why didn't she say, "But I never left!! You kicked me out!" Isn't that what happened? How is history being conveniently rewritten now?The whole show has been rewritten what is a few scenes!6. Why has Sona never told Dev about Vicky's creepy behaviour with her? Has she no fear about entering a house with such a guy in it? Now they're laying the foundation for Vicky to try something with Sona and I suppose no one will believe her, including Dev. More drama ahead.Drama sells!..I just learnt it the hard way!7. Worst of all, there is no chemistry between the lead pair anymore. This is one of my biggest gripes. They look like old friends hugging! Is this really how young couples who are madly in love behave? Why are the makers/actors so afraid of showing some intimacy/passion? Isn't this supposed to be a 'realistic' show? And enough of the flying jumps already. Its been done to death. They are a cute couple who needs passion and to top it they have the infertility track so no need for intimacy..after all we become intimate only for having babies!!!!!!!!!!!!!8. I could go on and on but I have to end somewhere and save the rest for the next post😊 One last thing - please Shaheer get a haircut and stop crying ! Seriously, are there any girls out there who find eternally crying men attractive? We want our hot businessman back !Welcome to soap world all the ML needs to do is look good..which Shaheer with his shabby hair is not! , smile - which he does beautifully, romance - he does the cute kind, and stand like a furniture most of the time- atleast in this show Shaheer had a chance to show his acting chops in most scenesThis show only reinforces my belief that no Indian show is made for a thinking, intelligent audience. It's made for an audience who are ready to ooh and aah over the ML and FL without questioning anything, however illogical it may be. I really, really thought this show was going to be different.Welcome to the Delusional I thought this show was different club!

HI and welcome to this forum.🤗
Such a bang on entry with a very well written post, with logical valid points raised.I'm so sorry my reply to your post is so short , I'm feeling guilty, but right now I'm too mad and frustrated , and disappointed with this show and ultimately a feeling of emptiness , like I watched the show fell ill and die in front of my eyes. Not in a mood or condition to type out a long analysis. This show nowadays fails to inspire me to write on it. It's like I've lost my muse.

You've mentioned such valid points! So many people going gaga over the proposal & all, it's weird how more of them aren't irked by the fact that Dev has not apologized or even talked to Sonakshi's family. He hasn't made the effort to gain her trust back. He thinks it's completely okay to ruin her engagement and then land in her office with flowers the next day, with no guilt. Why has Sona given in to Ishwari's pleadings so soon? According to the initial promos, this was supposed to be the main story but I feel the the break up track was rather poorly executed and lacked development of many characters, especially Dev. (Shaheer needs a haircut like asap now.) Such a pity they cut out potential scenes such as the phone convo promo, the coffee shop promo, such a breath of fresh air they were.
Also, the whole "don't ever leave me" thing he says over and over again is just plain weird, why in the world has he forgotten that he broke up with her not the other way around? Nobody asked him to leave his mother alone and run away with Sonakshi, he isn't the one who drove this rishta that he's so happy about at this stage, it was Ishwari. He hasn't stood up for his love for her, he didn't even have to prove his love to her again. Quite the letdown this has been for me.
