I am not sure how many of us have read King Lear but it has an impt connection here. To cut a long story short, King Lear had 3 duaghters. He asks their daughters whom will they love more after marriage and the first two daughters lie to him (more so because of his money and power) , that they will always love him more but the third duaghter - Cornelia tells him that once she gets married , she will love her husband and him , both. Its not possible to love him more . The king then gets disappointed and blah blah blah...
So, here teh point is -- our GREAT Eshwari needs to be told, that her son will get married one day and his attention will get divided among two women. Affection is such a thing that , u can distribute it to many people but the original share still remains. Infact, a mother expecting her son to love her and only her, is not only unfair but INSANE.

and yes, Eshwari is still far far away from a real "realisation". She wants to remove the guilt , but true realisation and understanding Dev's relationship with Sona, is miles away.

I have read king Lear .In that story the king throws his youngest daughter out of his palace. But eventually his this daughter helps him out .
Here I guess, King Lear is Bejoy Bose, I m connecting king Lear's nature, ego, attitude towards his and Dev's family, otherwise there's no other connection.
Bejoy Bose shud understand that not just dev but also his own daughter is hopelessly in love with dev.
