What's the reason behind Surbhi's cameo?

When Gul brought Malika, I thought she would act as a catalyst to move shivika to the next level of their relationship. They did get close anyway even when Malika was not around. I thought and thought and thought but still don't understand why oh why?????????what was the point??

gul had gone out of her mind she wanted trp to rise now seeing trp maintained same rating cameo exit ...

honestly the only good thing from the cameo was the party which gave us some amazing anika n shivay scenes

I think she was buying time to rewrite ishanas story.

I think the only reason for Mallika's entry was to increase TRP, producers might have thought that getting a big name liks SJ will increase the TRPs (originally we were getting clues that will be here for 2 months), but this was a miscalculation as unlike movies, people watch TV shows only for story and not the star value
I think she will tell Shivaaye that he is in love with Anika before she leaves, but this could have been done by OmRu as well, and showing that SSO will trust the words of Mallika more than those of OmRu would not just be against the character of Shivaaye but also the main theme of the show (brothers bond), so even her presence or absence made no sense at all at least to Shivika, story or the mansion

She came and made a long running show into an episodic sitcom, this was the biggest use of her in the show

Maybe she wanted to stretch the track to get more ideas on Ishkara!

Seriously amazed at some of the responses. Beyond me that how most of you didn't get the subtext of SJ cameo. No, she wasn't called to increase the TRP. Ishqbaaaz is already a hit show-- it doesn't need to bolster it's TRP's with cameos (It's just a small point away from Kasam which is a slot leader). No, SJ didn't come to bring ShivIka closer-- their story hasn't even started so they don't need an external push. The ONLY reason Mallika was brought was to start a social conversation-- whether you can be friends with your ex'es AND the fight for equality that daughters & daughters-in-law face in every household where a mother believes ki Mera Beta Heera Hai.

It's commendable of Gul & her writers that they served such important messages within the guise of entertainment without being preachy or boring. Even that horror track was to prove that fear has no gender.. and all of you mocking how the show became a sitcom well to you all I say it takes great talent to give such important messages with laughter. That is some great writing. Amazing that you all didn't get it. Guess we are so used to substandard television with usual saas bahu, two wives, supernatural Naagin daayan makhi nevla rakshas crap that when good, evolved television is served to us we mistrust it so much that we mock it.

kudos to u..👏👏.. seriously even i was amazed and shocked seeing the comments here.. and i didnt even feel like explaining anything so gave a sarcastic comment and left it at that... but you have summed up everything so nicely... and the highlighted part is so true..kudos to Gul and team for doing this in a subtle way, by weaving it into the actual storyline of the show... and i agree with what u said about horror track too.. eventhough its done to celebrate halloween the message in it was that even fear is not gender based... and that women are not weak mentally.
