One week after the marriage.

[Khushi's pov]

I greet everyone in the office with my extra chirpiness. Everyone is congratulating me and I am thanking them ,trying to hide the blush on my face.

I receive these beautiful comments all day. It is my first day in the office after marriage and I am feeling like a princess already . I wearing a pink sari gifted by my mother in law. I am so loving this family . I am the luckiest girl in the world for being granted with such amazing in laws. Everyone is sweet. I see lavanya my best friend waving her hand at me to come join her in the cafeteria as it was lunch time. I know what will be coming now . I remember the time lavanya got married how I have so many personal question behaving like a girl with no shame, in my defence I was curious , I have always been curious.

hey! Lav' I greet lavanya with hug . she is six months pregnant now and she got married six months back! Now understood what I was talking about .

My thought stopped as lavyana started speaking the usual question

how are you? How are you feeling ? hows your in laws? Talked to your parents?'

And I answered her with extra excitement

I remember the past me sitting here on the exact table laughing at newly wedded lavanya as she told me that she had unprotected sex with her husband on her first night .

lavanya are you crazy! Girl you are educated and smart how could you fall for it. You might be pregnant now. Whenever I marry I would die rather than let him touch me without protection. i am not having kids till atleast two years of my marriage.'

are you sure?' lavanya whispered indicating if I did a pregnancy test or not .

yes! 100%' I replied confidently . as I still see lavnaya not trusting my words .i added further.

I took emergency pill in the morning and arnav is using protection ever since. With next coming period I will starting pills'

do arnav know about emergency pill?' lavanya questioned. I can understand her concern . misunderstanding on such matters could lead to extreme destruction.

he himself gave it to me' I replied seeing her shocked expression

haa...' lavanya laughing at my that statement makes my heart prick . I sign her to explain her crazy behaviour .

khushi my little sweet khushi!. I am seeing myself in you , so nave , so innocent ,away from the conspiracy of world . there are two type of man in arranged marriage khushi.

First one who pounce on you on your first night and night afters not giving a dam about family planning and all you do is meekly follow their command being the newly wedded gopi bahu. And BAM! You are pregnant having your first child in ninth month of your marriage.

Second one who act all supportive , plan family or I should say act supportive who will wait to have kids. But BAM! One day mother in law , grandma , sister in law or any such annoying women dearest wishes to see the chota version of bitwa' and DOUBLE BAM! Family planning gye tail lene . welcome the junior in your 10^th month'

Khushi did felt scared for a second but she composed soon . she knew lavnaya was going through tough time with her husband and in laws. They didn't wanted her to do job anymore. She had showed her disagreement at first that resulted in huge fight between her and her husband . at last she succumbed to pressure by her parents and for her unborn child . she is doing her notice period now, two more weeks and she will never come to this office again.

lavnaya just because you are facing some martial issue doesn't mean I will face the same. Arnav is different . he or his family have no issue with me working , even they themselves want me to progress in my career.' I try to make her understand.

no but... b.ut they haven't stopped me'

yet! Stopped you yet! God only knows what the future holds' lavanya's negative behaviour is getting on my nerves.

stop it lavnaya. Just because your husband is a spineless d**k doesn't mean my husband is like him' I have lost my temper now. Its getting too much.

we are middle class girls khushi , arranged married to middle class boys of middle class families . no matter how much educated we become , we are still governed by old rules of society and no matter how much we try we cant run away from it. We can act all like high class girl in love marriage but we are not them' a lone tear runs out of lavnaya's eyes.

I had enough lavanya . I am going. Don't pin you mistakes and miscommunication on others. If you and you husband relationship was weak ,doesn't mean my is aswell' I pick my purse and leave not glancing back once but I can stop my brain to registered lavnaya's final words.

girl has to fight first to get birth in this society. Then she has struggle for her education , her freedom. Then she has to make new life in a strangers house , be a good wife . good daughter in law , good mother. Even the tiniest mistake if only , is made into a big blunder . at end you are alone just alone. You against the world'

I can feel from the crack in her voice that she is crying but I turn my heart into a stone and walk out . I wont any negativity affect my life.

one week after the marriage.

[arnav pov]

It feels amazing to be back to work . finally he can concentrate fully on work . with hustle bustle of guest in the house he cant even concentrate on making out with his wife , afraid some one will enter or hear them . he didn't gave a damm about either of two possibility but his wife was rather shy about it . and no matter how much he tried it was hard to convince her . now I understand why akash so cranky all the time .

Sex after marriage is much more complicated than before it. And I cant even imagine what will be after a kid , it would be like the eternal drought . even the thought makes me shiver .

I just don't understand one thing what's point of marrying if you cant even hold you wife's hand in your our home among you own family members and still feel like you have done the biggest crime in the world . its 21^st century after all not some old age world where I believe people f**k each other with their clothes on.

Now I regret cancelling the honeymoon plan .there has been two extreme reason behind it first his small but fast raising coming is working on this huge project that can create their designed cloth demand in other parts of country, he cant afford to mess it.

Second , honeymoon tickets were booked by nani for vaishno devi . seriously that . he remember how his grandmother has stated to take the blessing of almighty with "pure heart". He had very well understood the hidden or rather implied meaning behind that "pure heart" .what the use of honeymoon he cant touch his wife , like are you serious .

But now as he weigh both the situation he concludes that it was better to go to vaishno devi rather than sentencing no sex imprisonment in house full of guest. Anyway he was sure devi maiya would have not wanted his sweet boy to remain thirsty for his favourite sweet after year of drought would she?.

hey! Arnav' akash entered placing the file of new model's portfolio on his desk . he sat on the chair opposite to him . as arnav picked up the the file and went through it.

all are good. Finalise them and arrange a shoot as soon as possible' arnav replied went on to check the new designs on this laptop.

haa...haaa' akash laughed his heart out clenching his stomach.

Arnav raised his eyebrow at that.

what happen . don't tell me jr. has once again spread his laughing gas over you' arnav excellent retort and big blown smile adoring his lips made akash look down in embarrassment . arnav still remember that horrified scene when akash's son has literally pied and pooped over him with big blown explosion of gas that too when akash was changing his nappy . nk and him had laughed and teased akash for months.

har kute ka din ata arnav' akash gived back his sly reply with smirk of his own.

hamri kute! Tere toh band baj gye kamse kam apne bhaiyo ko toh aise bad dua na de' [bas***d , your life is already messed up , atleast don't wish it on your brothers] arnav said holding tongue on his cheeks .

sale kamine , abhe toh bahut badle lene baki hai tumse. Abhi toh bas shurwat hai' akash replied giving him the gangster look.

Arnav and him both chuckled and started laughing.

seriously , akash! khushi is a very intelligent women. We are partners in this marriage . she don't controls me neither I try and control her. We gave each other the required space and we will continue to do so. And quite contrary to what your "shatir dimang" had thought , our life including sex life is going on pretty amazing even after the obstacles that my house holds .' arnav said with a glint in his eyes. He has made right decision marrying her. She was a progressive girl with correct blend of traditional and modern thoughts. He was happy and he has no seconds thoughts about that. She is his perfect match in her intelligence , family life and bed.

I am happy for you mate. But remember its just the beginning real thing has not started yet.' Akash said patting arnav's shoulder and giving him a wink.

she is very different from your wife akash.' Arnav said making akash chuckle and walk to move out of his cabin .but just at the threshold he turned and looked at arnav

all girls are the same arnav' akash said those words and left , arnav have not missed the sad look of his eyes.

His mind rewinds back to one year back , in the same cabin where he had tries to console a broken akash , his friend has been through a lot since his marriage to that girl. Arnav hates women like her.

akash if you don't wont to leave your parents. Then don't . tell your wife to respect your family and your decision' arnav said giving his friend a glass water to calm his nerves. Akash and his wife had been fighting for last two months and she is living at her maternal home angry and is refusing to some back until akash buys a separate house for them . she has clearly stated that she cant bear his parents nagging behaviour neither his sister's education expense or other family expense that akash bears.

she is pregnant arnav. No matter how she is acting now,she is my wife , I love her . I cant leave her alone in this situation . but she is not even giving me time to find a new house . you know how expenses it is buy house , even rent is so high.' Akash said dejected

oh f**k! You are still thinking to keep her. If my wife have lift one finger against my family , I would have thrown her out without a backward glance. Women like her don't deserve our love or respect . they should know to respect our parents. It's the least we except from them , still they act so pricy' arnav is getting angry with passing second . he cant believe his friend is even thinking of keeping such women with him. Divorce her and move on .

she said she will abort the baby ,if I don't come to take her back to new house in next week time' akash said tear burning in his eyes.

so let her dude! A women like her who can say such big words doesn't deserve to be a mother or a wife' arnav through the glass in anger , making it shatter into pieces.

arnav I cant do that'

great then . do whatever you want to do. Bow down at her knees' he was done explaining his friend it was to much.

If was at you place akash . I would have thrown that women out at once and divorced her. My family is of high importance to me and no way in hell I can leave them alone for some girl that I know for few months' arnav stormed out of cabin leaving akash to make his decision.

Akash had rented an apartment and is living with his wife and son there. In past year he have hardly seen his parents let alone talk to them . arnav had tried to cajole akaash into atleast talking to them once but he had declined sated that he cant face them now.

I will never let this situation come in my life where I have to choose between family and wife. he is respecting khushi's wishes , her family and he expect the same in return if nothing more.

I know now its getting serious ,I had always planned to hit a social problem here with few hints comedy . I wont drag this story much .but will need atleast fifteen more chapters to come to a conclusion. I am just showing two different view point of newly married girl and boy and how people around them effect their relationship.
