One of the strongest dancers of the competition and a darling of the judges and audiences, the soft spoken Sanjeeda Sheikh speaks to us about her journey in Nach Baliye so far.
How has your journey been in NB?
It has been like a dream with open eyes. Every episode that we have performed in we have worked very hard and passed with flying colours masha allah…so it feels great that after so much of effort and sincere efforts that we have made it to the finals.
What have you learnt about dance?
I have been in dancing so for me it has been a regular thing. But to dance with a partner and to be in sync with him that has improved a lot. But I also think Nach has helped our relationship a lot. It has helped us understand one another… grow closer. We spent a lot of time together because we practiced everyday, we discussed the act together, the costumes together so it has been a real learning experience for me.
How has it changed your thinking in relation to dance?
I think more than dance itself it has helped Aamir and my relationship. Not only have we been in sync in terms of steps and dance but also mentally.
Did you ever think of giving up?
When I take up something I never give up. I always think positive of what I take up and I take up because I am confident.
Did you believe that you would get to the final?
Both Aamir and I never thought of the next episode while performing. We always just thought of that episode…we just took it one at a time and gave it our best. We never thought we would make it to the finals.
How difficult has it been physically and mentally?
It has been both mentally and physically exhausting. Both Aamir and I are also working on our respective serials so it meant working 10-12 hours every day for your serial and then after shooting going and rehearsing for 4-5 hours. So yes it was very physically and mentally exhausting. But we never thought of giving it up.
One message that you would like to give your baliye.
I would like to tell my baliye to keep dancing even after Nach Baliye is over and that always be happy and keep smiling.
One message that you want to give your choreographers.
I would like to wish them all the very best and thank them for teaching us. And for being so nice and co-operative. They are the best!
What would you like to tell all your NB fans?
I would just like to say thank you for all the support we have got from our NB fans. It has been tremendous and we feel great every time we think about them. And please keep supporting us because we will never disappoint you…

Aamir Ali Unplugged
One half of jodi no 7 and one of the most popular TV actors, Aamir Ali, speaks to us about his journey in Nach Baliye this season. Aamir says he is ecstatic to make it to the top and feels none of it would have been possible without his fans.
How has your journey been in Nach Baliye?
It's been like a dream. Never thought I will reach this level. I never thought I could dance! So for someone like me to get this far it is like a dream.
What have you learnt about dance?
I've learnt that dance is not difficult... it is very very difficult! But jokes aside dance is such a beautiful thing. You know we act and emote but I have realized that you can do same thing with dance. You can emote so well through dance… I just feel that dance allows you to release so much positivity from your self.
How has your thinking changed in relation to dance?
Earlier I used to be scared of dance. I used to think I couldn't dance. I used to feel conscious. But now I feel much better. Now I tell all my friends and fans that if you want to learn how to dance go ahead and try it once. You never know there maybe a dancer inside you…
Did you ever think of giving up?
No… I wouldn't say giving up. But earlier I used to get very tired. Also I remember on the first day I was very scared wondering what Chetan and Arun had lined up. But then I think from the second day on wards I was ok.
Did you believe that you would get to the final?
I think one of the main reasons why I have made it to the finals is because I never thought like I have to defeat this person or my performance has to be better than that other person's. I just thought I want to dance… and knowing my capabilities I never thought that I would win or reach to the finals. I just told myself go out there and give it your best and have fun. I left the rest to God.
How difficult has it been physically and mentally?
Physically yes it was very difficult. Mentally as well because at the same time I have been filming for my TV programme as well. But then I chose not to complain about it because I took it up. I also have an injury but then I don't talk about it because I decided to take up this challenge and agreed to do it so I just don't think I should complain or sya this or that happened.
One message that you would like to give your baliye.
Thanks for being there for me all the time. And because of NB now I know her much better. I just want to wish her all the best. She is very special to me.
One message that you want to give your choreographers.
I am lucky to get the best choreographers. They are just so talented. I mean they got me to dance plus presented me so well. And I think they will go very ahead in life… I wish them all the best.
What would you like to tell all your NB fans?
