So I recently just started watching the I am on the part sumo gets discharged from the hospital, but what I don't understand is that... Is sumo a girl or a girl/boy know... Like if she transgender then that makes her a girl... Right... Idk my knowledge in this is not good... And how can it seriously be possible that somu does not know what she is...?? Like that's my biggest questions and know if she is girl then why all the fuss... Idk maybe I missed something in the episode but if someone can answer that will be great thanks! P.s also how can a young girl get the transgender operation done??

Anyway

Bcoz they r using word kinnar in the show which is hindi term for both TG n Intersex

N saumya here is intersex as even Saya once said that a woman who cannot become wife or mother doesn't have right to be called a woman

This means saumya most probably have ambiguous genitals case in intersex... As her parents knew this when she was born
