Among reports of Balaji shutting shop of their films division in the face of a string of flops, we hear that things have become so sour inside the Balaji circle that Ekta Kapoor made up her mind to get rid of her old confidante Tushar Hiranandani who she had hired as Balaji's Head of Development.
Tushar who has written films like Masti, Ek Villain, Main Tera Hero and ABCD2 was known to be quite close to the Kapoor family but not for long. With the poor performance of Great Grand Masti to their latest A Flying Jatt, it was felt that Tushar is no longer an asset to the company and hence shown the door.
Only time will tell now what fate Balaji meets in the coming months.
Looks like EK is now very strict with the people of her films division, hope she'll do the same for her telefilms division too.
