Dev's Character is Consistent

I think even with this track of Dev being delusional and pretty much trying to break Sona's engagement, the CVs are still very consistent with his character from when the show started.

Dev character is so consistent. From the beginning till now, he is what he used to be.

Totally agree. He is not a man who can handle people or emotions well. He tries to buy happiness. It was shown in his relation with his sisters too.

He never had the luxury to step back and observe the world. He is not used to understand other person's perspective. He is still what he was.

And in spite of that I still do not think he deserves so much of hate. He needs to be pitied. In spite of all his riches, he is a poor man.

Remember the first few episodes, the extent he went to to get Sona as his mother's nutritionist? He changed Sona's circumstances, tried to close all doors except his so she would have to work for his mother. He is very passionate about the ones he loves.

This is very similar. Dev, who can not deal with the consequences of breaking up with Sona, is making up explanations in his mind about Sona's rishta. Explanations we all know are wrong but make sense to him because the truth is too hard to believe. He is telling himself that Sona doesn't want to move on while we all know Sona is trying her hardest to move on.

Now that Dev believes that breaking up this rishta is for Sona, he will once again go to extents to break Rithvik and Sona up. Like getting Rithvik's loan cancelled (very similar to getting Sona fired in the initial episodes). And the fact that his mental state is a little bit shaken up right now, he won't think twice before taking such steps.

So I think the CVs have been consistent with his character. Something like a forceful marriage (which would never happen) would be inconsistent, a step too far. But so far, Dev has been himself.

hmmm ...Dev hasnt changed a bit...he is still the same .

Am glad the CVS kept the character tight from the beginning. being in love changes a few things but not your basic personality.

Agree with u ...from the start dev is like this the dev we are watching now a days after breakup...he never think about right or wrong when it comes to his love ones...phir chye maa k lie personal dr leker ana...ya neha k lie flate and 7 lakh ka lengha leker ana and ab sona who is whole world to him..his friend...best friend...love and life of his life...dev is like this ...his intention s are always right but moves he takes are wrong.but again when he is lossing everything right now as sona is going away from him..toh how can he be in senses to think whats right or wrong...aik normal insan bhi pagal hojaeye aisi situation me...ye to dev dexit hai jo wese hi sochy samjhye bina cheezein karta hai.😆krta phely hai ..sochta bad me hai.🤣
