According to the reports, Deepika is the highest paid actress in Bollywood and after bagging a Hollywood project and delivering back-to-back hit films in Bollywood, she has hiked her fee.
"The reports surrounding the star cast remuneration for Padmavati' are completely false. The rumours are baseless and are being blown out of proportion," the spokesperson of Bhansali told IANS.
Only recently, Deepika has also emerged out as one of the highest-paid actresses in the world. She is also making her Hollywood debut with xXx: The Return of Xander Cage starring Vin Diesel.
To be directed by Bhansali, Padmavati also stars Ranveer Singh. Deepika and Bhansali have come together for the third time after the success of "Goliyon Ki Raasleela Ram-Leela and Bajirao Mastani.
Meanwhile, Ranveer Singh is keeping mum on his casting in Sanjay Leela Bhansali's Padmavati but the film's costume designer has let out that the actor is indeed on board for the period drama. There have been numerous media reports about Ranveer's casting in the film, with some suggesting he is again teaming up with Bhansali, while others claiming the actor had a fallout with the director and opted out of the project.
It, however, seems that the speculation can be put to rest now as costume designer Ajay Kumar, who has begun the work on Padmavati, posted on Instagram that both Ranveer and actress Deepika Padukone are part of the movie.
