Suddenly he saw his reflection in her tears ... and blow of realization pierced his heart ... his Sumo. Only mine...
Everyone can see the calm rage on his face, when he took time to remove his watch ... Aditya will pay for my Sumo's tears by his blood ... in his bliend fury Aditya lost his image, courage and respect... in front of everyone including his mother ... no Sharavns's mother.
no one was able to stop him when ramnath requested Suman to stop him...
A simple tug on his arm and he stood still... its his love who is asking him to stop...
Shravan stood there trying to calm his rioting nerves. He was at a loss of words. Only one thought rang in his mind. Sumo wasn't happy, this jerk didn't deserve her, what do I do!
He looked up to see sumo staring intently at him. He couldn't decipher her right then. Was she angry? Was she confused at his behaviour? Was she upset he came to her rescue? Wait, is that a glint of tears forming in her eyes? Oh that Aditya is a dead man. He made his sumo cry. He's is going to pay... wait what? His sumo? Did he still claim her as his?
He just kept looking into her deep brown eyes. Oh he could drown. What surprised him was that she didn't tare away her eyes. As if drowning in his was taking away all her worries.
To anyone else who saw the two, the temperature had risen. Their orbs penetrating each others souls.
---------
"Sumo"
She didnt reply
"Sumo" he called her again. Still no response
He shook her. She ran in his arms and hugged him tightly.
He was too shocked to react but hugged her back.
She sobbed clutching his shirt.
"I...I ...am sorry shravan " she said between her sobs.
He looked at her in disbelief. This girl was apologising him when she was not at fault. He was so blind in his rage he insulted her, called her names. He was so ashamed of himself.
"Sumo ...listen to me. You were never wrong. It should be me who must be apologising. I failed as a friend sumo. I failed. I didnt trust my best friend. I let you down . Sorry." He said .
--------
"Nahi Shravan, tum galat nahi the.. galti meri thi. I pushed you away!"
"Sumo! After everything I did, everything I said, tum abhi yeh kahogi?"
"Haan shravan, kyunki tum aaise nahi ho. Tum kisi ka dil jaan kar kabhi nahi dukhate aur mai toh tumhari sumo hoon. Maine jo kia, tumhe bohot dard diya, tumne jo kia woh sirf us dard ka ehsaas tha, tum jo mehsoos kar rahe the, tum chahte the mai bhi mehsoos karoon"
Shravan had lost her at 'tumhari sumo'. Everything else after just made his heart soar higher and higher in an unending euphoria.
"Tumhari sumo" He breathe out
"Haan?" Sumo asked a bit bewildered.
"Tumne kaha, tumhari sumo." His eyes glittering with pride. "MERI SUMO?"
And blush crept up her face. Had she just admitted that to him? So easily?
Shravan kept looking on, "Kaho na.. meri ho tum?"
---------
"Sumo?"
"Huh?"
"Kahan kho gayi? Kuch puch raha hoon tumse!"
"Haan bolo na?"
Tch tch...
"Tum kiski Sumo ho?"
"Abhi toh kaha tha!"
"Kitna bolti ho tum! pata hi nahi chala kya keh rahi thi...phirse bolo na!"
"Achha thik hai! Tum batao, Sumo kiski hai?"
A ridiculously shy grin slowly crept up His face, the corners of his smile reaching his eyes, crinkling them at the edges.
She LOVED that smile. He never smiled at anyone like that except HER. Yes, she had noticed it.
And then, with utterly magnificent grace, he lazily strode up to her, as she backed away towards the door, her heart hammering in her chest.
Sliding his hand behind her waist and pulling her close, he locked the door behind her with the free hand. Then, he brought that hand up and held her chin, tilting her face so that she looked right into his eyes and in a painfully husky voice, breathed, "Sumo sirf Meri hai."
And then leaned down to touch his lips to her forehead, almost reverentially.
----------
Sumo sighed...
The feel of Shravan's lips against her forehead felt nothing like she had ever imagined. Yeh! She had imagined shravan kissing her, but this. His lips were so soft, but so firm. A relief crept over her being. Like a massive weight had been lifted.
Shravan nudged her. "Meri taraf dekho Sumo" Shravan had to admit, she looked very "Pyari" this time she was awake though and she wasn't much different from when he saw her sleeping a few days back. Calm and content. The blush, he could fall for her a million times over. She looked gorgeous.
"Sumo" He said huskily.
It was more of a plea than a request. Sumo's eyes shot open and she regretted her actions immediately. Shravan, her shravan, looking at her like she was the most beautiful being on the face of the earth.
He looked happy. Incandescently happy. What had she done to deserve him?
"Sumo"
"Hmm?"
"Tumhe pata hai?"
"Kya?"
"Bata doon?"
Growing impatient, "Haan, bolo na"
"Pakka?"
"Shravan!"
"Socho lo, phir ek baar keh diya maine toh tum phir kabhi mujh se door jaa nahi paogi "
"Tum se door jana kaun chahta hai buddhu! Kaho na.."
"Tum meri zindagi ho Sumo! Tum paas nahi hoti toh bechaini hoti hai. Tum naraz hoti ho toh bohot dard hota hai.. tumhare door jaane ke ehsaas se darr lagta hai. Please sumo, mujhe apne se alag mat karna kabhi. Mai marr ... ---"
"Kabhi mat kehna! Aaisa soch na bhi mat! Tumhe kuch ho gaya toh mai bhi...--"
"Shhh... nahi kahoonga.. par tum bhi vada karo, mujhe chodd ke nahi jaogi "
"Nahi jaoongi, kabhi nahi jaoongi "
"Toh uss chomu se shadi cancel na!"
Grinning sheepishly, " usse shaadi karni kisko thi!"
"Shaadi nahi karni this toh haan kyun bola"
"Kyunki tum nahi bol rahe the"
"Par mai kaise kuch bolta"
"Kyun Lambu, zaban toh rajhdhani se tez chalti hai tumhari, kyun nahi bol sakte the?"
"Kyunki tumne kaha ke mai important nahi tumhari zindagi mai" Said shravan pouting
"Aur tum ne maan liya!"
"Haan" sadly
"Bevakoof! Oxford mai kaise the! I love you! Tum meri zindagi mai important nahi ho!"
Shravan looked shocked... "Nahi?"
"Nahi Bevakoof! Tum zindagi ho meri, jaise mai tumhari!"
"Meri"
"Haan! Tumhari!"
Shravan engulfed her in a fulfilling hug. This hug was their promise to be each other's forever. Their promise of life!
The end!
