Salman ' Most Popular Actor

According to India Today/CVoter Mood of the Nation survey, Salman takes top spot in list which includes Shah Rukh, Amitabh Bachchan, Aamir Khan and Akshay Kumar.

India Today/CVoter Mood of the Nation survey asked people all over the country who were the most popular Bollywood actors in the country;

1) SALMAN KHAN
According to India Today/CVoter Mood of the Nation survey at the Numero Uno position is none other than Salman Khan. The 'Dabangg' star's popularity has soared miles above other stars after he delivered the biggest hit of the year 'Sultan'. Apart from that, he also won relief in the infamous hit and run and black buck poaching court cases. Though he made a controversial statement on rape during the promotions of Sultan, he was not bogged down by controversy and neither were his fans. Salman's love life has also been making news with growing rumours about an impending wedding with his longtime Romanian girlfriend Iulia Vantur. Along with wowing the entire country, Salman recently met and won over the Dalai Lama as well in Ladakh where he is currently shooting for his next, Kabir Khan's Tubelight. On both the professional and personal front, the bad boy of Bollywood seems to be going great guns and he's shining bright like a diamond!

2) SHAH RUKH KHAN
The King of Bollywood is the runners up this time. A tepid 'Dilwale' last year and 'Fan' that failed to work his magic at the box office this year despite good reviews has SRK on unsure footing. The Badshah who faced some backlash like fellow superstar Aamir Khan for his comments on intolerance last year has kept rather quiet on social media and fans have been missing his characteristic outspoken and frank charm. His recent detention at the Los Angeles airport was another incident that didn't go down too well with the entire nation. Every picture, every post, and every tweet of the star meets with immense love from his fans and his children Suhana and Aryan Khan have also become social media stars. Shah Rukh Khan might not be ruling the box-office currently but he definitely is still ruling hearts.

3) AMITABH BACHCHAN
Superstar Amitabh Bachchan is giving the younger stars a run for their money. He started the year as with the thriller 'Wazir' and he continued the mystery with 'Te3n' which also spiked curiosity. Coming soon is yet another thriller 'Pink'. Big B is bigger than the films he does. From his thought-provoking tweets taking a dig at author Shobha De on her discouraging tweet on Indian Team at Olympics to the Panama Papers controversy he has constantly been making news. Fans are also keenly awaiting 'Aankhen 2', sequel of the 2002 thriller where the Shahenshah plays a schizophrenic protagonist .

4) AKSHAY KUMAR
At number four is Akshay Kumar who has been churning out hits at the box-office like no one else. Khiladi Kumar has already had three films this year and they have worked their magic. He delivered the first 100 cr hit of the year with 'Airlift' in January, followed it up with the madcap comedy 'Housefull 3' which made an easy 100 cr club entry as well and he's currently ruling the box-office with 'Rustom' running successfully in theatres. Akshay has made it a point to do versatile roles with a patriotic thread and has won over the entire nation.

5) AAMIR KHAN
Citizen Khan comes in at number five. The actor has been missing from the big screen since his monster hit 'PK' that released way back in 2014. He also rubbed a few the wrong way with his statements on intolerance late last year about a growing sense of despondency and a sense of insecurity in the nation. But amidst all the backlash, the perfectionist actor has been working hard for his next "Dangal" and the first poster of the film has found favour with fans. After a gap of two years, Aamir will be back with this December. Knowing the talented actor, acclaim is sure to follow.
