"Kya kar ra..." she began to speak.
"Shhh" he said placing his right index finger on her lips which sent shivers down his spine.
"Kuch mat kaho. Aaj sirf hamari saanson ko saanson se baat karne do" a husky plea came from him unintentionally.
She smiled shyly and closed her eyes hearing him. He tried to decipher if it was the make up or the real blush that made her cheeks glow under the effect of his words.
He raised himself a little above her height and placed his lips on her forehead. His lips made no movement but lingered on the creamy skin and he closed his eyes in order to control his senses.
Seeing him lost in the moment, she surreptiously moved her hand on his back giving him a cue to proceed. He learnt that it was a cue and he opened his eyes bringing himself back to her height.
He slipped his left hand behind her waist and traced the contours of her face with the tip of his right index finger touching yet not touching her skin. He was afraid that the mere touch would compell him cross the boundary.
His fingers slowly made contact with her skin and slipped under her ear while the thumb stayed between her ears and the jaw.
The thumb refused to stay intact in its position and enticingly traced the distance from her ear to the edge of her lips.
She gasped opening her lips slightly. He could not help but move his hand on her neck bringing it closer to the area of his main interest, her lips.
Her perfectly shaped lips decked with cherry pink lipstick looked even more alluring with shiny lip glow applied on it. His thumb followed the pattern of her lower lip cautiously not to trespass the the thin line marked by the lip liner that seperated her lips from her chin.
He was being cautious yet he could not come out of the spell her beauty and the proximity cast on him. He leaned closer letting his warm breath mingle with hers telling her how spellbound he was.
Their lips were just a second away from brushing each other.
"Cut" he heard a loud clap behind him and he pushed her away from him immediately.
"Perfect shot! Next shoot in 1 hour" the AD announced.
"Ok thank you" she said as always with a genuine smile on her face.
The shoot of that particular scene had ended but he was still not out of the spell.
While on the other side, she picked her script and went through it preparing herself for the next scene. Their next scene was supposed to be with the family and so she proceeded towards the living room of their set where everybody had gathered.
He thought to follow suit as this could help him calm his senses. He took his script and descended towards where the family had gathered.
She was already sitting between them laughing at some lame joke his on-screen brother had cracked. To see her casually talking to them and carelessly laughing, kind of irked him. But he decided to play cool too.
He joined them in their talks but his eyes and mind stayed on her observing her every move. It annoyed him further to see that she did not spare a single glance at him. He was loosing his cool seeing that she was not affected at all.
She got a call and excused herself to attend the call while walking towards her vanity. He wanted to go behind her yet decided to stay back.
If she was not affected then why should I be? His male ego said.
She was out of his sight but not out of his mind yet. It was only a few seconds after his male ego had instigated him, that the enchanting thoughts of her enticing beauty called him and he decided to budge to the latter.
He excused himself and strode towards her vanity. He pushed the door but found it locked. He knocked on it continuously.
She was still on the call and wondered who was at the door so impatiently knocking it.
"Mai tumse baad me baat karti hoon" she said disconnecting the call and went to get the door.
"Aap?" She was shocked to find him standing at her door.
He pushed the door urgently and locked it behind him.
She was taken aback by his sudden appearance at her door and his strange actions.
"Sab theek hai?" She asked confused and worried.
He tightened his jaws and then with a mixture of anger and sadness commented "Yahi toh problem hai ke sab theek hai. Tumhare liye toh sab theek hi hai na"
"Aap kya bol rahe ho?" She casually asked.
"Tumhe koi farq nahi padta na?" He asked irritated at her nonchalance.
"Kis baat se?" She asked having no clue of what he was saying.
"Damn it" he turned towards the wall and hit it with his palm in annoyance.
She was worried now and held his shoulder asking "Kya hua?"
He turned around in a swift movement, pulled her face towards him and smashed her lips with his letting her know of his need, anger, desire, annoyance, urgency and frustration at the same time.
She was completely taken by shock first and then surprised. Eventually she realised the reason behind his strange questions and his weird behaviour.
She curved her lips into a smile while he was busy torturing it with his bottled up emotions. The smile played the role of a tamer slowing and calming him down. Noticing the desirable effect of her smile on him, she finally decided to let him know of the effect of the scene they just shot, the effect that he was talking about, the effect which was clearly seen in his moves. She ripped apart the shield that she had built around her during and after the scene as she moved her lips in synchronisation with his.
He felt at peace to know that she was equally effected and her nonchalance was just a facade.
Having relished the moment to their hearts fill they broke apart and giggled at their impatience.
"Ghar jaane tak wait nahi kar sakte the?" She teased him.
"Koi rule hai kya ke apni biwi se ghar par hi pyar karna hai?" He winked pulling her closer.
"Par aise set par Raman?" she chided him.
"Toh kya hua? Set par bhi tum meri hi biwi ho. Yaad hai na humne reel aur real donon me shadi ki hai" he reminded her.
"Aap bhoolne thodi dete ho" she winked hinting to the escapade they just had.
"Bhoolne mai nahi, tum nahi deti ho. Kitni baar bola hai ke ye lipstick mat lagaya karo, mujhse control nahi hota yaar" he cutely complained.
"Scene ki demand thi Raman, isiliye lagayi thi" she explained.
"Agar woh AD 'Cut' nahi bolta toh maine toh tumhe wahin kiss kardiya hota" he informed of the spell she cast on him.
"Phir toh hamara show 7:30 ke pe nahi 12 baje ke baad telecast hota" she shyly made a bold remark.
"Idea bura nahi hai. Producer se kehta hoon ke channelwalon se baat karke hamare show ko 12 ke slot pe shift karde. Phir toh mujhe tumhari vanity me aise ghusne ki zarurat nahi padegi" he mischievously smiled making her go red.
"Kuch bhi" she slapped his arm "Keep your personal life away from" she pushed him AWAY FROM her "your professional life. Samjhe Mr.Bhalla"
"Baat toh aapki bilkul sahi hai Mrs. Bhalla" he placed his arms on her shoulder and locked his hands behind her neck adding "Par jab personal WIFE hi professional WIFE bhi ho, toh how can I keep my personal life away from my professional life?"
"Shukar hai ke aapki on-screen wife bhi mai hi hoon. Warna agar aap aise scene ke baad apni on-screen wife ki vanity me ghus jaate toh mera kya hota" she sulked even at the imagination.
"Tum iska mouqa dogi toh na aisa kuch karunga" he teased.
"Hawww...matlab mai mouqa doongi, toh aap aisa hi karoge?" She glared at him.
"Aisa mouqa kise chahye jab meri khud ki biwi mere saamne ho. Aur ye pati on-screen bhi aur off-screen bhi sirf aur sirf tumhara hai" he kissed her cheek assuring her.
"I love you my on-screen and off-screen patidev" she hugged him.
"I love you too my enticingly enchanting wife" he hugged her back.
