It might be because the producer thinks that if they are given more exposures and acting scopes, they may outshine the trio (which is completely absurd because Trio will always be the best and are irreplaceable).

But too few cops can be a problem as well. For example, those of us who have grown up watching CID, expect to see older and mature personalities of Daya Sir and Abhijit Sir. In recent episodes with the new format, they sometimes are made to look like senior cops with experience of trainee cops.

Just compare with the older episodes. Even my grand father thinks so. 😆 Anyway, how is it related to fewer cops? Well, they don't have any sub ordinates to give orders to. I remember in one recent episode they had to check CCTV footage of more than 50 roads. Daya was saying to ACP sir how is it possible or something like that! That is how Freddy behaves and the newer recruits not Daya or Abhijit Sir. This is the first time in history of CID that the characters are suddenly going in the reverse direction. That is not realistic at all. Feels really odd.

If characters don't change they become flat characters. We can't expect characters in their forties to go back 20 years and behave like they are in their twenties. 😆 The characters and show needs to evolve. CID is one of the lucky shows that still has its original casts and they should make it the best of it. Instead the producer is commercializing it way too much. Another point I noticed is they desperately trying to add 'james bond' type glamour and slapstick comedy which is not a good sign.

You are really funny. I really laughed out when i read this line.

btw, our petition not only demands his return but to see his character developing and unfold. During the years he has developed a mysterious reserved type of personality. Yes, he is one of the few rare characters in CID who looks normal and felt realistic. :) A refreshing change and contrast with the other characters.

to me the best team was ACP, Abhijeet, Daya, Freddy, Vivek, Tasha, Dr. Salunkhe and Dr. Tarika.

But it's fine with the present team!
