Thank You sooo much for the wonderful response! Guys, I just want to let you know that my school is starting next week 😭 which is why I'm kinda busy with school supply shopping for myself as well as my siblings. Here is Chapter 6 (please don't kill me)
Chapter 6
How should I apologise, said Jalal while driving his car. He was lost in his thoughts when he realised that the traffic did not clear up a bit.
Damn it, Heer usually leaves in 10 minutes, he said.
His determination to apologize made him get out of the car in a fury to check what's going on outside. As he gets out of the car, his heart suddenly starts beating very hard. Jalal felt weird, he slowly moved his right hand on the left side of his chest while walking a bit faster. Once he was there, he just saw 2 men arguing, and in a matter of a few seconds they started beating each other up. Jalal was surprised that the traffic was caused by a silly quarrel. Enraged, he stepped in between the fight to stop the 2 men.
Are you two crazy! He shouted. Can't you guys see the traffic caused by you? And why did you guys let the freaking cars in the middle of the road?
One of the men looked at Jalal and immediately recognized him.
Omg, Jalaluddin Mohammed? I'm so sorry. The other guy also apologised.
Now will I get my answers, he said annoyed.
Sir, that guy caused a serious accident, one guy said pointing the opposite person.
No Sir, he's the one who caused the accident, so he has to pay for it and go to jail!
They almost started to fight again until Jalal screamed SHUT UP YOU TWO! DO YOU KNOW WHO I AM? I COULD SEND BOTH TO JAIL WITHOUT ANY REASON IF THIS CONTINUES!
Sorry sir, said both simultaneously.
Now, Jalal turned back to go back to his car when he heard something.
"So should we call the ambulance?"
This statement made Jalal go back to those guys.
What do you mean call the ambulance?
And that is when they pointed the side of the road. Where a woman was all covered in blood but her face was not totally visible. He was terrified, his heart started beating wildly, and for some reason he unknowingly went towards the body while trembling. He slowly kneeled beside her and gently started removing the hair from her face to see the nightmare he never would want to see.
Heer!, was the only word who escaped his mouth.
In a matter of a few seconds, Jodha was in Jalal's arms. The shocked man was calling her nonstop to make her wake up.
Heer, wake up, Heer! Wake up damn it, he was continuously repeating the same thing while almost crying. After observing her for a while, he realised that all the blood is coming out of her head, so he rapidly removed his suit coat and used it to apply pressure on the injury.
Heer wake up! He said in an authorative tone. He suddenly looked back at the 2 guilty men and immediately his anger erupted like a volcano.
WHAT ARE YOU FREAKING WAITING FOR? CALL THE FU****G AMBULANCE YOU MORONS!
He looked back at the bloody face and this time, tears were coming out of his eyes. He never cried after the death of his parents. He also claims to be heartless. So why tear for someone? He himself didn't know the answer.
Slowly but surely, he felt a movement. Heer's finger started to move.
Heer, get up Heer! Please! he begged.
And she slowly opened her eyes while Jalal was tightening his grip on her hand. Jodha was literally seeing all blurry and couldn't see Jalal clearly. But how could she not recognize that masculine voice.
Ak..k.bar, she tried to call him but her voice was just not getting out of her throat. Even she couldn't hear herself. However, to her surprise, Jalal was so worried that even the smallest noise made him alert and just the fact that Jodha gained consciousness made him delighted.
Heer! Thank god, thank god you're awake.
But his peace did not last long as Jodha could barely open her eyes. They were slowly closing and her facial expressions were showing clearly the pain she is going through. Jalal got scared, he knows that in this case if she gets unconscious again, it could be life threatening.
Don't close your eyes! He commanded while releasing even more tears. And that is when he got an idea.
Heer, you know, there's a lot of things I need to tell you, about my childhood, my hobbies, and stuff. And you never told me anything about you huh? I need to know because it's very important, he said smiling trying to stay strong. Jodha gave a faint smile in return. She understood that Akbar was trying his best to divert her mind, but she also knew that the pain was eating her. She slowly started getting these very suffocating stretches that made her arch her back on Jalal's lap.
Ahhh...ahhh, she painfully cried.
Her sudden breakdown made Jalal very much tensed and worried as her condition was getting worse.
Where's the ambulance damn it! He looked painfully at the lady, cupped her face. Both were looking eachother trying to communicate.
Nothing will happen to you, I won't let anything happen. It was the last words he said before the arrival of the ambulance.
However, Jodha completely lost hope, she realised that there's no use of living in this world anymore when she has the chance to stay with her parents. But Jodha being Jodha, wanted to say something to Jalal before leaving. She slightly tilted her head as well as squeezing Jalal in order to call him.
I...I...am..Jo...Jo...dha
And she closed her eyes.
