Here the break was not a mutual one if it was I can understand and maybe respect if Sona wants to keep her promises..though in real life I don't know whether we can...in this case he mercilessly broke all the promises he made personally and also made her professional life non existent in one scoop..no promises are not meant to be kept here ..all bets are out

The guy is going through a medical/family crisis right now so took a decision under highly stressful conditions. It was Sona who said that if Natasha loved him, she would wait years for him. Dev did not see any of Ishwari's taunts. He apologized to her when mami taunted her when she wore Neha's joda but mental mata behaved very well with her infront of him. In a family, people do forgive and forget little incidents like what Dev did at the hospital and do not hold any grudges. I think once Dev apologizes with true intentions , Sona should forgive him.
