"What the hell! No one remembers what's special about today? Not even Erika?" Sandhya murmured and cursed herself and all the rest of the world for suffering from a curious case of memory loss on this day of the year of all days.
Barely had the murmuring ceased when Mahishee in, heaving and panting.
"Sandy di! " She shouted as she bumped into her, making her almost slip and driving her crazy "Sandy di! You know what? "
"What is it sweetie? Catch your breath first! " She adviced "How am i to know if you do not tell me?"
"Guess karo! " Mahi smiled from ear to ear "I am sure you are going to love it! In fact you couldn't be happier!"
"Muruga! Huh, what is it now? Did i win another banner contest? Umm i don't remember where all i had participated, Edkv, Krpkab and.. " She said uninterested.
"No di, something greater than that. "
"Oh, then is Rachana coming in a new show? Or she is going to replace the lead as chakor? " Sandhya began developing interest.
"No di!! " Mahi nodded her head "Kuch isse bhi bada! "
"Then, is manmarziyan coming with a season two? " Sandhya almost jumped with excitement at this possibility.
Mahi frowned making her realize she was wrong.
"Offo! Say it now! I can't think of anything more!" She said, getting irritated.
"Di, its a big big surprise, actually i shared your edits on twitter.. "
"Yeah so? What's the big deal? "
"Arey di, suno toh sahi, on twitter, it was liked and appreciated by Deepika Padukone!!!"
"What? Oh Mahi, you're late. April fools day was 3 months ago."
"No di, i am not kidding, i am serious!! See this! " She took out her mobile, and showed it to her.
This was what Deepika had said-
"Dear 7streaks, Your photoshopping skills seem marvellous! What superb edit! You make me look better than i look as i peep into the mirror! "
Sandhya read it loud again and again! She couldn't just believe it!! She looked at Mahi.
"Oh honey, tell me this ain't a dream. Pinch me, hit my head, slap my cheeks, do whatever you would like to do but make me believe this is true!! " She was going mad.
"Sandhya, we have news... " Appy di and Erika walked in, ecstatically.
"And, what's it? " Sandhya asked still heavily dazed.
"Sandhya, a PH has selected you to design the poster and the montage for their next show starring your favorite pair Rachana and Ashish." Appy spilled the beans.
"Omg! Really? "Sandhya couldn't rely on her own ears.
"Yes, my dear" said Erika "And the buzz is that Ashish himself had recommended your name for it. He has wished you on insta with a special message on your special day. See for yourself."
And there came the insta screenshot before her eyes, the message from Ashish.
"Happy Birthday to the immensely talented girl, Sandhya. Looking forward to working with you, Ms Gorgeous! "
Oh my goodness, did Ashish just... well she didn't wait to answer that for herself because forgetting everyone forgetting her d-day,she had fainted.
