Why are we all getting so worried. The track is simply moving at jet speed towards Devakshi marriage.
See it is simple. As selfish and cheap as Ishwari might be she can't see her son in pain. Ritvik entry is going to take Dev on a path of self destruction. He will literally start killing himself, not working, drinking etc.
So Ishwari will eat crow and go and request Sonakshi to marry Dev.
Since beginning they are saying that it is a son mother and DIL story. The marriage has to take place for the real story to start. Even SBS said that day that makers are planning Devakshi marriage.
Another point why are we always comparing initial promos to the Characters currently being shown. See initial promos are made when the characters are caricatures. There is no flesh and blood to them. The traits of characters are slowly developed over a period of time.
If Devakshi had been shown as casual with each other as in initial promos after all the passion they have shared it would have looked abnormal
So my guess is that soon marriage would take place and Ishwari insecurity would start on a daily basis. Since Dev too would already have known what it would be like to loose Sona he would not be so quick to jump this time at his mother's behest
