today it is very easy to blame dev of alienating sona...a moment wen she is supposed to hold his hand and share his grief he refuses even to let her touch him...let me include myself in the list of those who r accusing dev of being unkind and unjust toward sona...today dev is breaking a heart for the sake of his mom...it is another issue that ishwari's demands r totally unjust...but for dev rite now nothing else matters except that ishwari comes back home and stands back on the pedestal that he has so devotedly built for her in all these years...

wen dev was telling sona about breaking up any girl will consider him unworthy of love...but wat hapens to a man who deeply loves a girl yet has to break her heart...dev is right now standing in a hospital widout any knowledge how far his mom is recovering...as sona comes in to hold his hand he can only see her as the reason of his mom's current state...whether right or wrong doesnt matter since dev always fails to differentiate between right and wrong wen ishwari is concerned...

but here it is ishwari''s son dev dixit who is talking to sona rite now telling her to go away from his life...but wen sona is holding his collar and telling him he is unworthy of her love those words r getting heard by dev who is sona's lover...the words r uttered by a son for whom nothing else matters except ishwari...but the one who is feeling the weight of the words and the one who is desperately looking at her with profound pain in his eyes is none other than the dev dixit who confessed her one night and told her he loves her like a man loves a woman...

here dev is doing wat he is doing because rite now he has no other choice...sona is his love his happiness his dream...but dev has never learnt to embrace these things in his life...he has always nurtured and built the dreams of his mom and sisters...today dev blames himself for ishwari's state and feels the only thing to do is return back to his role of protecting the happiness of his mother as he is used to leading a dreamless life...

but in the process he is breaking sona's heart and sona's love...ishwari's son can make sacrifices everyday...but dev who is sona's lover will die a million deaths every night wen he will be alone in his room partnered only by crushed dreams and a broken heart...but sona will not be able to see this dev since she will forever believe dev is not worthy of her and will consider him as someone who has broken her heart into million pieces...but if there will be someone who can and will carefully pick up each piece of her heart and store them carefully to mend the heart again and heal it completely then it is also dev dixit the same person who broke the heart...

today it is easy to see sona's pain...but wen i look into dev's eyes i can see he is killing a part of himself...ishwari has lost...she feared that she wud lose her son if sona stays in dev's life...but with sona gone ishwari has forever lost a part of dev since that part is dead and buried after watching the shattered face of sona...rite now dev dixit is both the villain and the victim...

🤗 Glad to see your post! 😃 Aditi! Am I right?😉
Ok here I go...

I do not see Mr. Dev Dixit as the villain... Not at all... May be my neutral emotion for him or a detached connect with him makes me feel so...😃

As a wise man he should wish to neither be anyone's villain nor be anyone's victim... 😉
But alas he was not raised to be an independent man, but the victim of everything.

And if he continues be the victim then it's because of his own mind... Yes, I can hold his upbringing for the same to some extent but what about his growth on his own. Everyone has a lot of learning to do beyond the home and out in the open world. Anyway never mind. Everyone has their own lessons... Let's hope he learns it too... And if he sticks to learn it again from his own home, then so be it... 🤪

If only he sheds the victim mentality then he can own up the responsibility to be healed... Else there is no healing for him... No amount of Ishu's halwa or the pampering on her lap is gonna heal it...😆

If anything at all then he might behave like an angry survivor not to play the victim card...😉

Amazing analysis.👏
I still remember Shaheer's words from one of his initial press meet audio clip. A reporter asked him "You said Dev doesn't love his mom, He does pooja of his mom & he is a devotee of his mom. What is this means, Can you elaborate?" He said " Dev is the kind of a guy who doesn't think for a sec before removing and throwing away anything from his life if he thinks that its hurting his mom. When it comes to his moms happiness he doesn't think about right or wrong?". I think he is the only one who is still in his character from day one. Nothing brought change in him even now in this aspect, Not even his LOVE but i think his PAIN will bring change for sure now.

i used the words villain and victim in technical sense...he breaking someone's heart and so he is obviously a villain...here i am not considering the reasons or that he has no other choice...here i am saying he is breaking a heart so he is a villain and he is a victim since it is not only sona's heart he is breaking but also killing a part of himself...

dev thinks he will make everything all right and things will return back to normal in ishwari's life...but he is so naive...love is not something u just oneday pull it out of ur heart and throw it away and expect that it will not leave footprints behind...dev is yet to know that he cant ever stop loving sona and in doing so he is not solving things but creating a greater problem since ishwari will not be getting back his son like before...

yes dev is very much in character...his stand regarding his mom has not changed one iota...u r rite love cud not bring the change in him but wen he will be in pain he will realize it since his pain will also affect ishwari who will then realize that she has destroyed her own son's life...

Lovely read Aditi!

It's a battle between Ishwari's son & Sona's love. Right now it's Ishwari's son who is winning & Sona's love is losing... but there will come a time that it won't be about Ishwari's son nor Sona's love. It will be about Dev. This is his journey where he needs to figure out what he really wants in his life & he has to bring about lots of changes to have both Ishwari & Sona in his life... Only Dev can fight with Dev. No one can help him!

Right now he's the one who has lost the most. He always thought that he knew his mother...but he didn't. Never wanted to see her sad & unhappy & because of him she was driven to this state. He feels lost that he's been a big disappointment to his mother. And he has lost Sona as well..

Beautiful post !!!👏
I am just so happy that Sona is now out of Ishwari Niwas which was suffocating her as a whole. Dev n Sona both are not ready for a marriage or even this relationship. This break up will be hopefully an eye opener for all 3 to introspect where they went wrong. The Dixits can sort out their issues themselves without Sona involved in them n Sona can take a deep breath n take a break.

The equation is already changed. There is no going back. Dev n Ishwari can try as much as they want and believe that everything will be back to normal as before. But will Ishwari ever be able to say "meri khushi theri khushi mein hein" n will Dev ever be able to believe it or say the same. Can he ever relish the basan halwa that his mother prepares with the same enthusiasm. Will he ever be able to open up to her without thinking about the repercussions.

The girls especially Neha have borne the brunt of it for the mother - son duo to maintain this perfect facade of a relationship. It is high time for them to get what is their due. Neha's needs were always treated as secondary all her life. She is not going to take it for long if again her needs are sidelined. If and when she comes back she will be showing them the mirror. Neha and Ishwari will be on the opposite sides. So whom will you satisfy Dev? Whom will you turn to now since you have let go of the one and only person who wanted to share your responsibility instead of adding to it? Like you said you will have to face it alone. But that was your choice Dev!!!

awesome post. yes what dev is doing is wrong but right now he is in no condition to
think how to deal with problem. all he wants as he said in yesterdays episode
'I don't want to talk about sonakshi but only about mom'. I think if v ourselves put in
his shoes then v can understand him better. lets say if sona was in same position,
her mom or dad would be in the same condition as eshwari then what would she do?
when someone very dear to you in lying on death bed, all reasoning goes out of window.
even if its not your fault, you end up putting blame on yourself. that's how emotions are.

dev and sona were not ready for marriage thatz true but they were definitely ready for this relationship...but i agree with everything else u say...things can never get back to normal...dev will now not be able to take pride in thinking that mom will never refuse anything that gvs him happiness...this is wat he has always been telling sona wenever she was in doubt whether ishwari likes her or not...dev always used to say that his mom is happy if he is happy which he now knows is not true...
