1. mom-son understand each others pains.. when it comes to happiness both dont.. example mummys happiness is bhagwan which dev does nt understand and dev s happiness is sona which se does nt understand

they both are shippers of past tense. mom and son love to glorify their past. so make sona also past tense.. it will be easy for dev to relate to his loss as he is an expert in rememberance..

2. he always tries to put his thoughts in front of his mom- neha first wedding deal, nehas wish to make ranveer rich, or calling sona when she runs home after first fight but his mom's stare stops him from expressing his self.. first time he shunned his inhibition and saiid he loves sona and his mom started behaving double faced..

so for dev either tell d truth and feel bad or say a lie its over and feel good is gonna work..

3. agree on all his attempt to satisfy his mom were flop after sona's entry and it is bound to happen as your thoughtprocess is influenced strongly by the other one in your life.. if ish was dumb things would have been easier but we got the most brilliant sparling mom here

4. he does not have a support system to cross check his decision.. biggest drawback.. the one who used to say ur choice is mine is lying lifeless and the other who said i will respect and stay with you is questioning him every single second 'are u sure'

so better to stay away from both intelligent mahatmas and sulk in office..

There are n number of instances where Dev has messed up in decisions. I mean personal ones. The latest victim is Sona. I know that there will be so many out there who will jump at me for saying this. On the personal front, he operates more from the head and less from the heart and on the business front, more from the heart and less from the head. He needs to reverse this to get a better balance.

No matter what, I think when one makes a commitment to live with someone life long, nothing else should matter. Not even your own life. Unfortunately Dev has to contend with his God, his ma. He has not factored this into his decision making process, and this is his greatest undoing. He thinks he has got perfect understanding with his mom, but then those were the days when he was in his half pants and he was dependent on his mother. Now has grown to be a man, wears business suits and casuals, mingles with foreigners, signs deals most of which his mother knows nothing about. His expectation or belief that he and his mom continue to have perfect understanding is a fundamentally fallacy.

Having said all this, he is still a wonderful person, as he has often told Sona. He is difficult, complicated, but does have a heart. If I were given a choice as to who I would prefer, I would still choose a person who operates from the heart than his head. Dev is a person in whom there is hope.

And If you see Ishwari has maintained fake smiles, fake sweet talks with Dev throughout the track. Never ever she has never taunted Dev ,like she does with Sona. Nor she has openly expressed her views with Dev like she has done with Mamaji. Which itself shows what kinds of relationship she was having with Dev. Dev and Ishwari were always living is some type of Illusions that they understand each other inner voice and inner thought and they don't need words to understand each other. Actually Sonakshi has totally shaken up this so called bond of mother-sona. She showed the hardcore reality that both of them don't understand each other at all.


Ishwari has more balanced and open relation with Neha than Dev. That is why Neha is able to understand Ishwari more than Dev


Even now after break up - Dev will again lie to her. And she will think Dev need her love only for the survival.

Respectfully disagreeing with you- I loved this . How CV showed some real facts of life. This is what happens in reality . A mother never ever displeased his son , but very easily she can taunt her daughter in law( who is someone's daughter came to your house thinking you will keep her safe and happy ). Secondly it is not necessary successful businessman can't failed in understanding mother's gestures and her thinking. Because at home, no man is successful or unsuccessful busines tycoon , he is simply a man being at home. A relationship is always complicated when people are not straightforwarded like Ishwari.😃


P.S. No intention to hurt your feelings. This is good post who forced everyone to think. What CV showed us in beginning is completely opposite is going on now.
