I should throw some confetti around today...the stuff I've been asking for for nearly 2 weeks now FINALLY came to some fruition today...yeh log 2 hafte freakin timepass kyun kar rahe the?😆
Also, are these ppl stalking the forum? Just yesterday we talked about the theme song and lo and behold, they played it like 5 times today😆...I should have asked for more stuff😆
Anyways, coming back to the episode...finally FINALLY that conversation with CONNECT that I've longed to see b/w Abhi-Meera...after two weeks of aimless floating around and kinda going nowhere scenes, finally they produced a well rounded convo b/w them...THANK YOU writers and whoever managed to bring this about👏
It's testament to how charming the convo and scene b/w Abhi-Meera was today that Ramraj ka random drama also couldn't mar it...some beautiful dialogues in their conversation...a good FLOW, a PURPOSE to the convo...man, I was just so happy to see this scene when I'd lost all hope of them living up to their potential😆...so the substance I saw in the first weeks isn't all lost...good to know.
Have to highlight some of my fav bits:
1) Itne dino baad Abhi gave that genuine waali smile😆...I was like finally hasaa😆...such an adorable moment when Meera teases him that if he's not around toh Pant bhavan ka kya hoga and it was such a moment of mutual camaraderie...THIS is what the show needs to build on...
2) "Aap samajh kyun nahin aati"😆...finally he verbalizes the expression that's constantly on his face...lol...and I liked how this dialogue transitioned into the discussion over the note...a more sober Meera, using the excuse of a friend's story to explain her own..."Mummy Papa ki galti nahin hai, woh ladki hi kuch alag hai...failure hai"...the analogy of the broken marble that no one wants...I must pause to state that Namita really came into her own in this epi vis a vis the emotional scene...totally nailed it, contrary to my earlier reservations about her ability to pull off such scenes...Meera's vulnerability, her low self-esteem all got touchingly depicted here...
3) The transition to Abhi's mountain example...lol at first when he was like "Meri khidki ke baahar...", I LOL'ed at how dono Abhi Meera ki stories are about things outside their windows😆
Anyways, beautifully tied together by Abhi...the immovability of the mountain doesn't make it a failure, because it plays its own role, has it's own purpose...itne pyar se samjhaa raha tha use...aakhir 13 namoono ko samjhaane ka long term experience hai😆
4) "Phir toh aapko koi aisa dhoondna padega jiski aap sunein, Meera ji'...I love how they eased into this bit...and so cutely Meera asks him, "Tumhein kaise pata chala?"...and he tells her he has many years of experience in hiding his own feelings so he can recognize it when someone else does.
What was lovely about this entire chain of events was the NATURAL way in which that moment of connection was established...so direly needed this was and in the randomness of the last two weeks, they weren't really going anywhere...glad to see them finally moving in some direction.
In that moment it was established that for all her "6 months ke courses wala gyaan", Meera needed someone who she would LISTEN to...and that someone turned out to be Abhi...it was a turning point for her and it was visible in the way she looked at him...something shifted inside.
5) The Friend's Request...LOL how cute was this bit...I really wasn't a fan the first time around Rohan randomly used Abhi's phone to send out the friend's request but this time they nailed the moment cuz it happened so naturally and it was such a Meera thing to do, the way she was peeking over his shoulder all pleased with herself...lol...and Abhi accepting the request with a smile.
I guess what really sealed the epi for me was the beginning of a genuine FRIENDSHIP...not some jump to random romance zone...and a real spark of chemistry today as well...both PJ and ND did really well today👏
Precap mein Raizadas and Pants ka drama as expected😆...I'm intrigued to see how Abhi-Meera will walk in...the reactions of the families will be worth watching😆...
