CHAKOR'S POV
I looked at the mandap, it was beautiful but soon a fear engulfed me. I was scared of losing all these happiness in my life. My right arm was clutching my lehnga tightly. Sweat beads formed on my face.i was really scared and nervous.Then I saw him,my bride groom. He smiled at me assuring that he is with me,always. He forwarded his right arm towards me. I looked at him and then at his hands and then I gave my right arm on his hand. His grip was tight but firm. He helped me reaching the mandap as my bridal dress was heavy. The pandit started chanting the mantras and we both were listening what the pandit was saying . The pandit then asked my to be better half to fill my maang with vermilion. He did so,then he asked him to put mangalsutra around my neck.
After chanting few more mantras, the pundit asked us to stand as it was time for varmaala.
After the varmaala,it was time for the pheras. The seven vows which bounds a girl and a boy into a inseparable bond which is very pure and sane. In the first 4 pheras, the bride groom moves ahead of the bride and in other 3,the bride.
After the pheras,the pandit declared us as a married couple. From today onwards, I am no more Chakor Bhuvan Lal, I am now Chakor Suraj Rajvanshi. But my fear is still there. I am really scared but I heard a voice.
"Pundit Ji,I want to take one more vow", someone said and I knew that person. My husband,Suraj Rajvanshi.
He said those words and then he took hold of my mind and started taking round of the sacred fire of the havan kund.
"I vow that all my life,even after my life,I will never leave my wife's side. I will always protect her from all evil things. All her problems will be mine and all my happiness will be hers", said Suraj completing the round and tears formed in my eyes . Before my tear could fall,he caught it and said," Chakor, I can't promise you that I will always keep you happy or you will never cry but I promise that whenever you will cry,I will be the first person to wipe your tears. I will be there to hold you in your bad times. I can't promise you that I will bring stars for you but yes, I promise that I will give my whole life's happiness to you".
His words assured me that he is there for me. Always,every time in my life. He is my saviour,my knight in shining armour.
