Best left Unsaid

I watched last night's episode and my reaction was just this... Some things are probably best left unsaid

Why even Ishwari's "We are one" dialogue didn't leave me as restless as yesterday's episode did? What was about yesterday that shook me ?

Here was the main character, who was so much in love that he felt like he was finally home. He thought his mother and his girlfriend both accepted each other and life was perfect.

He was in such a cocoon that he didn't even notice that no one , no one was truly happy for him.

Mamaji is worried about the effect on Ishwari. The sisters are worried about the effect on Ishwari.. Ishwari is worried about the effect on Ishwari.

Dev is living his dream, believing that his mom is happy. It is as probable as saying Santa exists. And yet his pure joy, enthusiasm was that not enough to at least invoke a smile. At least an acknowledgement. as the sisters slowly steer him towards reality.

I can give the sisters a benefit of doubt that they were more worried about Ishwari's reaction as they knew it was too good to be true. But it wasn't like reality was going to hit him this instance... An acknowledgement was what I missed. Best left unsaid.

I could see that Boy... waiting for Santa in Dev.

My heart went out to Dev. Kudos to the actor.. that I wanted to shake him and bring him back.. and hug him and tell him that he cannot be so oblivious. Just how can he...

The new promo... didn't shock me as much... Ishwari's health scare wouldn't hit Dev as much as a suicide attempt would. That would shake him to very core.Make him question his very existence.

Had Ishwari been unwell, Dev would have sought Sona for emotional support. For Ishwari to make such an attempt something had to shake her belief...

Ishwari's loved dialogue is , " Teri Khushi main hi meri Khushi hai." She said it. She probably believed it too.

The way I see it, Neha or Mamaji showing her the mirror that she is not happy in her happiness, is what is going to trigger the suicide attempt.

It's no surprise that Ishwari will try to physically harm herself. We have seen this over and over again. Dev went out to play. Ishwari broke the vase so she is yelled at and Dev would study. Dev didn't tell her about Sona, she was ready to endure physical pain ( Chula incident)

Dev realizing that he and his mother are not even on the same book forget page is going to make his distance himself from Sona. But knowing that Ishwari was ready to take her life. Willing to rob him of his happiness i.e. even kill herself. The realization that his mother's happiness is not in his. That his mother would be happy in his loneliness... I see Dev distancing himself from Ishwari too.

That brings us to how does he go and talk. What does he say to the mother... How can he ask, are you happy that I am unhappy or are you unhappy that I am happy?

Somethings are best left unsaid I guess.

As I told you this morning, despite the fact that I couldn't hear the dialogues in last night's episode, I could SEE the bubble Dev was in. He, who had always thought about everyone, his mother, his sisters, his work, his employees... for once was just thinking about himself. He was living in that bubble of joy. Wrapped in that cozy happiness. I could see the dreams coming alive in his eyes. Kudos to the actor from bringing Dev alive in front of us.

Yes, at this point, it does look like everyone, including Sonakshi are thinking of Ishwari. Everyone except Dev. For him, his mom's words were enough. And if they were not enough, his thought of - meri maa meri khushi par khush na ho?? Ho hi nahi sakta!! That is his belief. The reason he has gone into that cocoon of unbridled joy.

Either Neha talks to Ishwari or Ishwari overhears the daughters talking about how maa is NOT happy with bhai's happiness..how she would NEVER be happy, is what would trigger the suicide attempt. (IF I go by our logic)

In the current state that Dev is in, self-harm by Ishwari might be the only thing that would make him break away from his Sona. Nothing else would push him to take such an extreme step.

And this would be something that can't ever be talked about. I mean... what would he ask his mom once he connects the dots and realizes the reason for the suicide attempt?? His thoughts can't ever be voiced because they are creepy even to think, let alone voice.

Googly would be as you said - all this happens one night and he comes to Sona's place at midnight. When she would be dreaming of the most romantic proposal, he would be breaking off with her. And breaking himself in the process.

Last night's precap. Ishwari saying - agar hume bura nahi laga toh usse bhi bura nahi lagna chahiye.

His face when she said that!! That split second of shock / disbelief.

He might brush it off for now because he is still in that cocoon. But all these little things will come back to him when he comes to know of Ishwari's self-harm. The dots will be clearer. Easier to connect then. Or maybe I should say - his vision would be clear enough to see and connect the dots.

How perfectly you put it in words.👏 Till y'day all initial promos were like puzzles to me. At then end of each episode i use to try to extract little more meaning from those. All of a sudden, now each and every initial promo is making sense and screaming loud about the irony of Dev's life. How happy these 2 are in their happy bubble. It hurts when you realize that these are going to fade away soon.

BUT

I just want to say ... Bring it on CV's and i am in with my tissue box. I know with the kind of amazing set of cast, this journey is going to be an emotional roller coaster ride but as our Sona says if we just discuss about only happy moments then our relationship wont be a complete one.

Dear writers/makers, Here i promise you to stay with you guys in this journey till the end. Last but not least, I trust U and really proud of u guys for showing courage to present such an unconventional topic.

I think its going to be cascade of events.

1. Mama ji will console/confront Dev for his stumbling around, forcing Sonakshi own Ishwari's throat. Dev already suspects something horribly wrong by that last precap.

2. Bijoy and Asha come to talk marriage without asking Sonakshi first, leading to GKB's insults and the Boses leaving upset. SOnakshi will also be understanably upset too. She can take the insults but not take any against her family.

3. Dev will try to pacify Boses and Sonakshi, and get angry with GKB. The resulting drama will cause stress and sadness to Ishwari who "in a height of melodrama and tears" swallows too many BP pills.

(that is actually very VERY dangerous )

4. Poor Dev will be beside himself for causing all of this and God- knows what he will do.

Oh man its gonna be super duper stressful.

Oh yes... My only complain has been.. One smile from Neha to Dev... One dialogue from Nikki to Sona... " Sona di..." One acknowledgement... Is all that was required. If we got that.. the episode would not have left that incomplete...

Hopefully today we get some Neha Dev conversation... Let someone just notice Dev's happinees and smile... Lagta hai ab GKB se hi umeed lagani padegi...
