Scene I wished to see- 20/07

This is a scene I wished to see in after Ishita gets Ruhi's custody. It could have been a beautiful conversation between Ruhi and Ishita. The loving bond which both shared should have been well elaborated. The story of YHM basically highlighted the issue nature v/s nurture feeling of motherhood. The main premise of the show is not Raman and Ishita love story, but that of a mother who can't be a mother due to her fertility issues and a daughter who was abandoned by her biological mother. It's high time CV's remember their own story and show some poignant scenes regarding Ruhi's confession, her regrets, her feelings, her dreams, her aspirations, and highlight the bond she shared with Ishita.

As Ishita left the room, feeling dejected that she even could not cradle her daughter in her arms, when she returned home after so many years. Ishita had to let her tears flow, and she had to run out of the room. Ishita couldn't bear the thought of Ruhi rejecting her, her love and the bond they shared. Yes, it was a mistake she made years ago and she had to pay a heavy price for it. She had lost Ruhi, the daughter who made her a mother, the thread of connectivity between her and Raman. But she was determined not to commit the same mistake again. She would wait for Ruhi to come to terms with her feeling, her pain and her anguish. As Ishita headed to the kitchen, to make some milk for her Ruhi, Ishita broke down in the kitchen, the pain was unbearable but she had to wait, she couldn't give up on her daughter now, she had to baby steps to again make her daughter feel welcome in her life, to make her understand that no matter how bitter past they shared, the strained relationship they had for the past 7 years, she would be there, standing to take her Ruhi in her arms and cry her heart out.

She sent the milk to Ruhi's room with the house help. She went to her room, so she could atleast today sleep peacefully. Her Ruhi was back with her, though there were differences between them, she can see her, be near her, make her favourite food and above all, shower with her all the love Ruhi deserved. Ruhi had been through hell in the past years, and it was time Ishita healed her little daughter with her love and care. She would leave no stone unturned to see her daughter is cared for, loved for. Lost in her thoughts, she went for a change.

Here in Ruhi's room, Ruhi eyes were brimming with tears, her body was trembling thinking of the past few weeks, when she insulted her mother. She insulted that woman who was the world to her, who she loved the most in the world. The mother who never gave up on her, not when she was young and Shagun mumma would reopen custody cases and now when Nidhi tried to snatch her away from her Ishimaa. She was guilty about how she made fun of her motherhood, her tender love and care, her gentleness and her heart of gold. She had to confess that what she did was out of pain and angst, angst that her mother left her, pain she had to suffer because she lost her mother and had to spend her life in hell.

As Ruhi picked up a photo kept on her bed side stand, her entire life flashed before her eyes. The moment she was abandoned by Shagun and how she was craving for her father's love. How her life turned up side down when she met Ishita aunty who would later be her step mother. But for Ruhi, Shagun turned out to be the step mother, and Ishita her real mother. She remembered the time when she tried convincing Ishita aunty's groom to go marry someone else. She remembered how the first time she called Ishita mumma and Ishimaa had embraced her in a tight hug. She remembered how Ishimaa cared for her when she met with an accident; she remembered how Ishimaa groomed her for the party. She recalled all her beautiful memories she shared with Ishimaa. She remembered how she missed Ishimaa feeding her by her hand. She remembered how she learnt to make paranthas because I loved them. Ruhi realised that no matter what, Ishimaa loved her and will always. My needs, my problems, my whining, my dreams where Ishimaa's priority and always will be.

These all things were more important than the past she had, the painful past was difficult to forget but not impossible. She had Ishimaa now, she didn't have to worry about anything anymore. She would embrace her and her worries would be gone. Ishimaa was truly God sent.

As Ishita stood near the window, looking at the dark, black night with no moon and no stars, it made her compare her life with this pitch night. No hopes, no positivity, she had got Ruhi back, legally. But would her Ru, forgive her? Forgive her for abandoning her, for giving up on her, for not fighting back for her and for running away like a coward. As she was lost in thoughts, she heard a knock.

She turned to see Ruhi standing in the door. Ishita knew there was something eating up her daughter.

Ishita: "Kya hua Ru? You want something?" before even Ishita could complete her words, Ru ran and crashed in her arms. She was sobbing, sobbing really badly. Looking at her condition, Ishita was scared for a few minutes.

Ishita: "Ssh...kya hua bacha?" she said while trying to calm down her hysterical daughter.

All Ruhi could mange was an inaudible sorry. Ishita held her by her shoulders and made her face her.

Ishita: "Kya hua Ruhi? Aise kyun ro rahe ho? Kya hua? Tumse kisi ne kuch kaha kya? Kya hua baby?"

Ruhi finally composed herself, and spoke,

Ruhi: "I am really sorry Ishimaa."

Ishita: "Sorry kyun? Tumne kya kiya?"

Ruhi: "I hurt you badly. I insulted you, humiliated you. I am really shameful for the way I behaved with you in the past few weeks."

Ishita: "Ru, tumhe maafi mangne ki koi zaroorat nai hai. You are back in my life, that's all I wanted."

Ruhi: "How can you so easily forgive me? I said spiteful words, which I am sure pained you, hurt you. Those words broke you, I know it. You can lie to the world Ishimaa, but you cant lie to me. You can bluff the world but not me."

Ishita: "Ru, bahut raat ho chuki hai. Go change, and sleep. You are tired. You need rest."

As Ishita was about to go to her bed, Ruhi held her hand.

Ruhi: "Ishimaa, mujhe aapse kuch aur baat karni hai." She pleaded.

Ishita nodded. Ruhi clasped her hand, and looked grumpy. Ishita couldn't figure anything.

Ruhi: "Ishimaa, mujhe bahut bhook lag rahi hai..."

Ishita smiled lovingly at her daughter, and led her to the kitchen

Ishita: "To bolo, kya banaon Ru? Omelette ya phir sandwich?"

Ruhi: "Curd rice."

Ishita: "Itna late, use banane main bahut time lagega, aur waise bhi itna late in the night, don't have such heavy food. Have something light. I'll make masala omelette, tumhara favourite. "

Ruhi: "Theek hai." Ruhi said as Ishita made her sit near the dining.

Ishita went in the kitchen to start preparing her daughter's favourite, spicy masala omelette when Ruhi still wondering how to start a conversation and she could apologise.

Ruhi: ""Aapko yaad hai Ishimaa, when we were roommates, you made me deliberately eat curd rice and fed me dinner?"

Ishita: "Obviously. Main kaise bhool sakti hoon? You know Ru, that day I felt that I was feeding my daughter, not knowing you are my Ruhi. I was at peace that day, thinking I fed Ruhi."

Ruhi smiled knowing the answer. As Ishita was busy preparing the omelettes, Ruhi spoke again,

Ruhi: "Ishimaa thankyou for not giving up on me. Thankyou for not giving up on me when I insulted you, humiliated you, I said hurtful words to you. Thankyou for fighting for me, because I had forgot how to fight for love, for my Ishimaa. I had forgotten how to care for anyone anymore. The trauma I faced made me a heartless person. I turned into a cold hearted, bitter and angry person, devoid any human emotions. I was living life like a lifeless person. Thankyou again for making me believe in miracles again, making me believe in hope."

Ishita's eyes were brimming with tears, listening to her daughter's painful journey, but also content to see her at peace. She gently wiped her tears and came near and took a saet near Ruhi. She cut a piece and fed Ruhi. Ruhi gobbled up the entire plate of her favourite spicy omelette. She went to the kitchen and started to whisk some more eggs, when Ishita began questioning her,

Ishita: "Tum kar kya rahi ho?"

Ruhi: "Aapko omelette plain chahiye ya phir masala daal ke?"

Ishita: "Ruhi, tumhe bhook lagi thi, mujhe nai. I had dinner."

Ruhi: "Plain ya phir masala? Jaldi bolo na..."

Ishita: "Plain, par ye kya hai? You should be taking rest. Aur tum yahaan..."

Ruhi: "Ssh...Ishimaa, I know that since I haven't eaten, you haven't too. Like you know when I lie, I know when you lie. Ab chup chap baith ke eat what I am cooking."

Ishita nodded, while Ruhi continued,

Ruhi: "And one more thing Ishimaa, I wanted to hug you and reveal when you I saw you the first time. But when Aliya addressed you as Amma, I was heartbroken, I was shocked and hurt. How dare she call my Ishimaa as her Amma? I was seething in anger. And our second meeting, when you recalled about Ruhi to me, I again wanted to confess, but my ego and jealousy over took my love and emotions for you."

Ishita didn't stop her, it was time she spoke of what trauma she underwent, Ishita asked her to continue.

Ishita: "Ruhi, beta bolo, I want to know your pain so I can heal it. And yeah, keep a check on the omelette, I don't want it burnt" she smiled along with Ruhi.

Ruhi: "I am sorry for making you go through the pain. I thought that this will satisfy my ego, the hurt and pain I had to face; I will give it back to you. But trust me Ishimaa, everytime I humiliated you, mocked you, I was breaking fibre by fibre. I was letting go off what I had got back after so many years, I wanted you to come and save me. Cradle me in your arms. Tell me stories of fairies. The trouble I gave you, the taunts I hurled at you, my mind told me that it was you and papa deserved, but my heart thought otherwise. Ishimaa's Ru was broken. I had lost myself in this battle of ego and revenge. I am really very sorry."

Ruhi bought a plate of well made, delicious looking fluffy omelette. She cut a piece and fed Ishita, who was again emotional.

Ruhi: "Acha bana hai na? I mean salt and everything?"

Ishita nodded, and lovingly held her hand.

Ishita: "Ruhi, I love you."

Ruhi: "I love you too." She said hugging Ishita again.

Ishita: "Aaj meri Ru wapas aa gayi hai. Aaj to celebration banta hai."

Ruhi: "Yes. Ek aur baat, mujhe darr lag raha tha. Mujhe darr lag raha that I would break completely if ever we separate again. Maine isliye aapke itna bad behave kiya. I believed that if I give you pain, you would back down and give up. But thank you for being there for me, at every step. For there to pick me up when I fall, to help me rise above. I love you."

Ishita finished the omelette.

Ishita: "It was nice. Now go change and sleep. It very late now. And get up late tomorrow. You have been in emotional turmoil too long."

As Ishita placed the dishes in the sink, Ruhi spoke again,

Ruhi: "Kya main aapke saath so sakti hoon? I mean like childhood times? "

Ishita was overwhelmed, she nodded and both left for Ruhi's room.

As Ishita lay beside Ruhi, she pulled up the comforter to cover Ruhi. She gently kept patting her forehead.

Ruhi: "Ishimaa, please story sunao na?"

Ishita: "Ru, tum kaafi badi nai ho gayi ho kya?"

Ruhi: "Please Ishimaa, and story sunne ke liye there is no age." She pleaded.

As Ishita started her story, slowly and gently Ruhi drifted to sleep. Ishita too went in deep sleep. Ruhi in deep sleep clasped Ishita's hand and placed her leg on mother's waist. She snuggled closer to her mother, while Ishita protectively engulfed in her arms.

Maybe they both will take time to come out of this emotional turmoil, the pain and trauma they shared, but they will rise as long as they have each other. As the mother daughter slept peacefully, destiny adorned its two special people sleeping in peace.

The End!

I hope I lived upto the expectations of all the fans.

Love,

Mayu

Thankyou 😳

That's the speciality of YHM, Ishita and Ruhi's bond. When will CV's understand this?

Thankyou😳

The show is in dolldrums. I have lost all hopes of such logical scenes. Its all about Shagun drama, Raman's anger and Ishita's dumbness

CV's are idiots. Cant they read the feedback they get and move there story accordingly?

Love,
Mayu
