An actor associating with a certain brand speaks not only if his public image & how he wishes to mould it, but also of him. Hence Aamir was so cautious of doing aerated drinks commercials as per his IVs, why Ash, Kangana & Nandita refuse
To endorse fairness creams.


Actors are very cautious in choosing brands. Most actors, maybe not Dutt clearly. So while Ofc the onus is mainly on the writers & director etc, it is also on him because he *willingly* chose to do something that is very sexist & stupid. Seeing his history & track record it is very easy & natural to conclude that he identifies with these bizarre principles. Hence the annoyance & "outrage" against "Baaba."
