I am a quiet member of the forum who only ever reviews the fan fictions she reads.I don't even open other threads or topics but inspire of it I noticed a trend and would like to talk about it.My couples of rupees,if you will.
I can quite imagine the frustration the respective fandoms might feel when one or the other lead is bashed but I urge you to give me a chance.
I like all the FEMALE leads. And I have overcome any dislike I may have had regarding the males.I absolutely have no problem stating that I used to dislike Nakuul's acting but he shut me up.
The following are just views.I am not bashing the actors.Regarding the male leads, those are hypothetical questions.
Let's start with Surbhi Chandna.
Has anyone ever considered the fact that she is playing a role the writer thought up.She should be comfortable for the writer to imagine along her scenes. She seems to fit the writer's prerequisites.
Many of us feel she is chubby, not pretty enough, older, taller than her co-star.
I don't think she is any of these but even if she had been older looking, chubby, etc would it be wrong.
How many us are insecure about our weight, our looks, height, lips, eyes, etc?A heroine who is not perfect should give us a vision where we can imagine ourselves being a heroine despite not fitting the"heroine" bill.I read a thread for the sake of it and was instantly irked. The thread maker didn't have a problem with how she acted out the role but with her looks.Shouldn't the biggest priority be how she acts?If she is pretty as an angel but is a bumbling fool who does not know the a of acting will we be able to enjoy her scenes based on her prettiness alone? Will her doe shaped eyes be enough if they don't convey the emotions her character goes through. Will her inhuman fairness be enough if she can't shake us in her fear, doubt or melancholy?
She looks real. She might be a plain Jane. But Anika is more than a pretty face.Shivaay is pretty enough for the both of them.No one seems to have a problem with the male leads. Why? I for the life of me can't fathom. Why don't we say that Nakuul is shorter than Surbhi. He has a baby face because of which probably his wife looks older than him.He walks oddly. So and So would have been perfect with Surbhi. That actor would have been a good actor and most importantly tall and handsome?
No we don't say anything about the Male lead. For heaven 's sake women, stop shredding your own people. She is perfect for the role because it's Gul's character and she envisioned SC in this role.
We all are Heroines and we don't need to conform to societal norms to be one.I have a fat nose and I still can kick ass.My nose is not my defining factor.Nor is my weight or height. I will have Chemistry with the person who complements my personality not my looks.
Regarding sparks between Shivaay and Anika,it's been 41 episodes. If we want Chemistry then let's kick off Omkaara as his brother and make him his boyfriend. There, you have your chemistry. But people will have a problem with that too because Eww...Gay!
Grow up people.Stop pulling people down for your favorites.
Ishana:She will never appeal to you people because you have mounted Omkaara on a pedestal and no woman can touch him.
All hail Omkaara! The poor chap will die a saint if it's left to the machinations of his pankhis.
Vrushika is trying.Let us give her some time because the poor girl herself might not understand her character. Her character hasn't really been plotted as was confessed by Gul Mata.Let them come up with Ishana, let Vrushika understand Ishana and then we can go in all guns blazing.
She keeps on dancing because the writer is a lazy person who overestimated himself and is now floundering. So,when in lack of a solid plotline let us take advantage of the fact that the actress can dance.Voila! You have a scene.
If anyone is to blame then it's us.We are so adamant that our favorite get screen time that we don't take in the inadequacy of the production house and bang about like a petulant child. This is a very ambitious project and it is quite obvious that they are learning as they go along.Let them tackle one love story then let them get to the other. This way their entire focus will be on one couple and they can do justice to them. But no,there is no Ishkara. And when they give us Ishkara,we complain about her always dancing.
Soumya:Now people have problem with her weight.Oh dear God.I feel like banging my head on Ruddy boy's abs.
Is Nawazuddin not a good actor? Didn't he steal the show in Badlapur or Bajrangi Bhaijaan? Do we not remember his roles despite the presence of a more symmetrical beauty?
Wasn't Manjhi an awesome movie?
What about Vidya Balan? She rocked despite not being a zero figure or the conventional beauty.Same with Kangana. She is so brilliant that Ishana copies a character she played.
What I wish to say here is that the people that have been chosen have been done by professionals. We are the consumers and have all the right to demand a replacement but being finnicky isn't credible to us.These people are actors. If they don't act well we have every right to call them out. But,objecting their looks or their perspective is so not done.
I am aware that I might not be welcomed on this forum henceforth because I practically bashed some members.Okay,then.It isn't a problem but if I wouldn't have voiced my displeasure at such prejudices.I was quiet till now but this is way too much.
If someone does wish to respond, please do not write that so and so would be a better choice because if I wanted names I would have taken them myself.I don't care about your Heroines. If it wasn't clear from this rant then you know now.
Kindly ignore the grammatical errors and the spelling mistakes.I wrote this half-awake.If you still can't,then go ahead.I might learn a thing or two.
