If Brad Pitt/Julia Roberts can do it .

This is a thought came upon me with the (fake?)news of entering a popular star in KRPKAB . The reactions of fans actually amused me , and honestly I didn't expect this much strong reaction ...

Even though it was said to be cameo role , most of us whether its Shaheer fans or Gurmeet fans couldn't accept it ... I am failing to understand why we think it will be less of them to do a cameo in any show or it will steal someone's limelight? Being a resident of US I get to watch a lot of American shows on TV and I am sure here there are lots of us who watch those , and I see lots of talented famous movie actors doing cameos in TV shows all the time without any ego ... It would only fetch more popularity ... Apart from movie promotions, I can understand why our stars can be reluctant ,considering the quality of our TV shows .

But I would be really happy if something like that happens in our show , KRPKAB is always unique and going against norms , so if that trend is going to happen in Indian TV this will be the best show to start it with , as it truly deserves that ... And I don't know about others but I don't think any less of them or their star value will lessen if they do cameos in a show which always brings quality content ...

Indian TV shows have lot of catching up to do. You will understand the trend and the people's likes when you see TRP charts. It always amazes me to see why people go after such unrealistic and cliched stories. The new generation have almost given up TV shows and watch online what they want. Same is the case with cameo roles. The actors involved may not have any objection for doing this. But when it comes to viewers it becomes a bit difficult. If some one does it and it clicks it might pave way for more in future. But someone must dare to do so isn't it? When most of the channels and production houses change even the plot line and discontinue shows based on what the TRP audience wants this also seems difficult. KRPKAB is different and unique in its realistic approach. It doesn't even comes in the top of TRP chart. But content wise it is top notch. Just like this if more production teams come up with these and also bring good actors for cameo roles they might also click. Personally I welcome the change.😳

Even Indian movie and TV stars do cameo roles. Its wud be incorrect to generalize it. Difference between shows like Friends n KRPKAB is that in Friends each episode is individual story so cameo is for 1-2 episodes and scope for lot of cameos as new story every epi and hence maybe just 1-2 days of shooting. KRPKAB is a daily soap, there is a continuity in the story, every role even cameo wud need proper introduction, background, justification n finally an appriopriate exit so in all it can last for several episodes and wud need weeks of shooting n hence proper commitment of days is needed. This makes it a bit difficult for well established stars to do sudden cameo roles.

But now the problem is with the crazy fans. Neither KRPKAB or Gurmeet fans wanted to know if the cameo news was true or not before starting to compare the two actors Shaheer and Gurmeet, who is better, who is more popular, fans of one insulting the other actor. Some Gurmeent fans claiming he wud nvr do a cameo role - how the hell these fans know abt it? Does Gurmeet takes his career advise from these crazy fans? NO. N similarly crazy people doubting Shaheer's popularity and capabilities to pull audience. How unfair it is for the actors concerned. How quickly one rumour can rile up things in this fandom madness

There is a huge difference between us TV shows and Indian shows .what works there might not work here ...it would be interesting to see if similar thing can work here .Bollywood actors usually look down on TV industry. ..they have now started promotion their shows but acting or doing a cameo role is not acceptable to them .A bollywood super star was forced to host a show on TV due to financial condition his family was not at all convinced with his decision. I remember watching that interview .
