He hugged her tight for the last time, kissing her hair gently he pulled back, their hands still entwined " Bye girlfriend!" He said naughtily to which she amusedly replied "Ciao Boyfriend!"
Smiling he took a step back their eyes still locked while the final call was made to all passengers flying to New York. "Its time!" She said the smile still intact on her face. He slowly moved back leaving her hand, one final glance her way, he left!
She watched his retreating back and turned to leave.
Opening the door of her apartment she got in and placed the bag full of groceries on the dining table when her phone buzzed.
"Hey, Tara Wadup?!" She said casually.
"Ah yes he left I just got back from the airport." She answered.
"Ok cool. See you around then." She said smiling into the phone and hung up.
Her eyes fell over to the bags and she decided to finish unpacking that and then head on for other work.
As she began unpacking things one by one her eyes fell on the box of chocolate cookies.
Seating herself she took a deep breath and all hell broke loose, her body started shaking as she cried her eyes out.
