UI am watching this show for two reasons: 😳
Aham Sharma
Krystle Dsouza
Being a viewer of both Ek Hazaaron Mein Meri Behna Hain n Mahabharat, just couldnt miss this show😳
Now coming to the episode, here's a written update for those who didnt watch the episode 😊 :
The show starts off with a newly married couple driving through the woods. They are headed towards Kamalpura, a beautiful village where the ancestral mansion of the groom is located. There seems to be some animal threat in the nearby forest area, which is shown in hints.
The couple reach their house, where the residents welcome them. However on entry, the lights go off, and all the female residents get scared of some inauspicious negative energy. They chant something n the light comes back. The scene shifts to the terrace where the couple is romancing. They share a coy moment, n as the groom is lost in intimacy, the bride pushes him down the railing. The guy tries to survive, but the bride tells him she married him for money, n pushes him down, n throws down her red bangles n jewellery from the terrace.
As the guy lands on the ground, smeared with blood, he is attacked by an ape.
20 years later:
The scene shifts to a posh residence, where the daughter of the house, Rakhi is getting married. Everyone is excited, n having fun. The bride's brother played by Aham Sharma is introduced. He is shown as a casanova, n he is surprisingly promising. After playing 2 brooding roles, I so wanted to see him as a casanova, n he is playing just that amazingly. He seems to share a very playful equation with Rakhi's best friend played by Krystle Dsouza. The chemistry between the two is great...😳
Meanwhile at Kamalpura, the villagers live in fear of some demon named Brahmarakshas. Any newly married bride is prevented from wearing jewellery to prevent the demon from attacking, as the demon is known to have some hatred towards newly wed women.
Back at the marriage house, Rakhi's in-laws have decided to host the wedding at a village named Kamalpura. They want to have a location wedding...n want to have the wedding there. Rakhi's mother played by Rakshanda Khan is visibly scared at the idea, but she n her husband agree bcoz of the wish of the groom's family, who plan to buy the village.
They get ready to travel n board a train, where Rakhi tells her brother(Aham) that she loves someone else n is disinterested in her fiance. Their conversation is interrupted by Krystle, n they get inside the compartment, where the whole family is gathered n having a great time.
Meanwhile, at the village of Kamalpura, an eloping couple on the run, take shelter in the forest area near Kamalpura(unaware of the stories of Brahmarakshas). They are attacked by the Brahmarakshas, who is revealed to be the murdered groom's ghost at the end of the episode.
Coming to the overall show...well, it seems to be the typical Ekta Kapoor serial. Same old actors. Below-average direction...Now that well-directed shows are coming up, Ekta Kapoor needs to improve the direction of some of her low-budget shows.
The only thing I loved is Aham-Krystle chemistry. 😳
