Hi there guys!

Remember me yet? Wow! I can't believe I've been away for like 7 months.. But sometimes you do need to give up on things you love to achieve what you want to, right?

I read through each and every comment and I'm really thankful to you guys for taking out time to put in your thoughts.. Though i wont be able to reply yo each comment individually this time, I value them a lot.. Thanks guys!

Okay, so I'm guessing I'm gonna continue this story and take it all the way through to the end.. I hope you guys will still wanna read this and want me to continue...

The shock!

The next morning, everyone gathered at the dining table for breakfast. Pragya had messaged Bulbul and called her over along with Purab saying that she had something important to tell them.

"Aaliya, do you know what this is about?" Bulbul asked, unable to hold her curiosity as they waited for Abhi and Pragya to come down.

"No Bul. I have no clue either. In fact, I was about to ask you if bhabhi said something to you."

"It has to be something important since she wanted everyone here. I hope its good news." Purab put in.

"Yeah, I hope so too" Aaliya added

"Why are you kids so impatient? Pragya will come any moment now. Have some patience." Dadi chided them.

"But dadi, isn't this strange. I'm too curious." Aaliya sulked making the others laugh.

Soon enough, they saw a much stressed Pragya descending the stairs along with an equally worried Abhi, causing everyone on the dining table to suddenly become serious.

"Di? Are you okay? Abhi?" Purab was the first to ask.

"Pragya what's wrong? Why do the two of you look worried?" Dadi asked, caressing Pragya's head, making her sit on the chair next to hers. Abhi took his place next to Pragya, looking at her with some reluctance. "Pragya, are you sure about this?" he whispered to her.

"I am Abhi. She needs help." Pragya whispered back, holding his hand under the table and squeezing it in reassurance.

"Bhabhi, is everything alright? What's going on?" Aaliya couldn't hold back anymore. "Please tell us. We're getting worried."

"There is something that happened yesterday. I know you guys will have a lot of question, but please hear us out first and let us finish talking, alright?" Pragya asked to which everyone nodded their heads.

"So you all know Nikhil, right? Tanu's husband?" Abhi began. The mention of Tanu was enough to make everyone shift in their seats and bring a scowl on their faces.

"What did the bitch do now?" Aaliya spat out in anger.

"Aaliya, you promised to hear out first." Pragya reprimanded her and gestured Abhi to continue.

"Yeah, so Nikhil came up to my office last evening. I refused to meet him or see him, but he kept sitting there for hours and I had no option but to call him in."

"What is it that you want Nikhil? I thought I made it clear that I wasn't interested in meeting you." Abhi asked, frustrated.

"I know Abhi. I know you don't want any association with me or.. my.. my wife. I know you hate me and Tanu and you are right in your own place. What we did to you was unforgiveable. I know we caused you hurt and pain and that you had to suffer because of us."

"If you know that already, why don't you take that sorry face of yours and get lost already? I have other important things to do." Abhi said dismissively.

"I am guilty Abhi, and you can curse me all you want, but please listen to me once. Just once is all I ask. And if you deny, I promise I won't show you my face ever again." Nikhil pleaded. Abhi settled back on his chair and gave him a nod, as though asking Nikhil to just get over with whatever he wants to say and then get lost.

"Abhi, I know what Tanu did upset you. What she did.. we did was uncalled for and we could have handled things differently, but we just fell in love. It just happened Abhi, we had no control over it. Your relation with Tanu was getting sour by the day and she would come to me for solace. Maybe she saw a friend in me who she could confide in. She really did want things to work out with you Abhi, but she couldn't cope with your mood swings, your anger and indifference." Nikhil tried to explain.

"Stop! Nikhil, if you are here to defend Tanu or explain her sob story, I suggest you leave. I don't have time for this right now. I need to get back to my family." Abhi tried to get up.

"No, Abhi please. Let me just finish, please. I'm not here to defend her or anything. All I am saying is that there was nothing in your relationship that could help you sail through. You were with her to get over your sadness. She was with you for the attention you gave her. It's a natural tendency to mistake that for love. When she stopped getting the attention, she rebelled. As the distance grew, she just happened to find someone she could fall in love with, but did not have the guts to face you. So she just happened to choose the easier option, to run away. She did regret it, but she didn't have the courage to see you after that."

"What exactly do you want Nikhil? For me to forgive her? I have done that long ago. I have moved on and I now have someone I really do love. I have no hatred for you or for Tanu. Had she not left me, I wouldn't have found my soulmate. I understand that you guys fell in love and I wish you all the happiness. What more can I do for you?" Abhi sighed

"Abhi, Tanu needs your help. If not as a friend, help her for the sake of humanity. We were in Australia last month to visit her mother. On one of her trips out, she met with an accident. As she was crossing the road, a car crashed into her and she hit her head on the ground. Abhi, she was in coma for a couple of weeks. When she woke up, she wasn't my Tanu. She was Tanu Mehra." Nikhil said, on the verge of tears.

"What does that mean Nikhil?"

"The doctors say that she might have lost a bit of her memory. The last she remembers is when she had been to Australia when the two of you were married, sometime immediately after your wedding. She.. She doesn't even remember me and all she keeps saying is that she wants to see you." Nikhil sobbed.

"But Nikhil, how is that possible. I mean.. Cant her memory be rekindled, by telling her what happened?" Abhi asked, still shocked with what he was hearing.

"No Abhi, not right now. The doctor has asked us to refrain from doing that right now. She has just about recovered from a severe head injury and come out of coma. Any kind of stress to her brain can prove fatal. In fact, the doctor says that it is best if we keep the surroundings like she remembers. I mean, she needs.. Can you.." Nikhil broke down.

"Nikhil, no.. how can I? I am a married man Nikhil. And I cannot give up on my family again. Moreover, even if I want to help, I'm not sure they would understand. You have all my sympathy, but I'm sorry Nikhil. There's not much I can do here."

"Thanks for your time Abhi. I can understand, but I had to try. You were my last hope." Saying this, he walked out. Abhi rubbed his forehead in frustration. He needed some time alone and decided to message Pragya to postpone the dinner plans. Picking up his jacket, he walked into his studio, the only place he knew would give him peace right now.

Everyone let out shocked gasps at the end of the story. They didn't know what to say or how to react. All they did was look at each other.

"Dadi, she needs our help. She needs this house. I think we should get her here." Pragya was the first to break the silence as everyone continued looking at her like she had grown horns. Seeing the reaction, she knew she had a long battle to fight before she would get her way.

OH man! When I read the Coma part,I kind of felt bad for Tanu. But now things are going to change,big time. Pragya in her Mahan avatar yet again;/ Didn't expect something like this at all!!

others reactions like that is expected..I feel like it's their some dirty game to trap Abhigya...hope they doesn't succeed...
