Why everyone is recording a video for Akshay Kumar

Akshay Kumar and Salman Khan share a close bond. So, it didn't come as a surprise when Salman recorded a special video for Akshay's upcoming film, Rustom, on August 2. The video, which was uploaded on Instagram by Akshay, marks the countdown to the film's release date. Several other B-Town actors will also put up similar videos (one actor each day) for Akshay's film, which is inspired by the famous Nanavati case of the 1950s.

"Akshay has a good reputation in the industry. He is liked by most people. So, when he shared the idea " of uploading such videos on social media sites " with his friends from Bollywood, everyone readily agreed," says an insider.

What started off with Salman's video was taken forward by Ranveer Singh on Wednesday (August 3). "Sidharth Malhotra and Sonakshi Sinha, among others, are going to put up special videos too, to count the days to the release of Akshay's new film," adds the insider.

Akshay is "happy and excited" about his industry friends "coming out so enthusiastically" to support him and his film. While he couldn't be reached for a comment, sources close to him reveal that he is personally thanking all the actors who are going out of their way to participate in the countdown.

The effort to outcast Hrithik Roshan from the industry has started

I don't think anyone sees hrithik as a threat. if he is not # 1 now so I dont think anyone is worried that he will be # 1

1) Is it not the director that made fun of Sajid Khan and Farah Khan and blasted them for making fun of Hrithik's Jooda Akbar in Star awards. Is this an attempt to fail that director?

2) Has Hrithik fought with a big director / producer like chopras/kjo whose chamchas are likes of Ranveer/Salman.

3) Or maybe fought with salman or srk. wasnt there a topic on clash with raees date? could it be that as he did not change release date

I dont know.

This seems like a case of anti daro rather than love rustom

This will effect Mohenjo Daro. Unless they come up with better marketing plan to sustain. HR also denied going to TV for promotion. TV is the best platform for promoting. Not everyone is on social media and most of the elders are more into TV.

But iski MD trailer aur ghane sunkar sab soh jaige. All about the movie is a let down. HR isolating from the industry. He taking kangi and their controvesy too seriously.

For once let it go. Its not always u need to show good image to please other whereas you r not even par to that.

Hrithik's come back after 2 years look dull and plain. No excitement.

I love Akki and hope he identifies the ass lickers from genuine well wishers..i think deep down he also knows industry will always treat him as outsider and he doesnt care a f**k about it as well..also this time its clear that HR and AG are getting sidelined for some reason..so agree more than Akki support its sideline HR

Still the opening of Mohenjodaro will be bigger than Rustom, it would be termed shocking if its otherwise. "Content" will come into play after the opening and then it could go either way.
