Vijay's father OPENS UP about Amala Paul and AL Vijay's divorce
  • Amala Paul-AL Vijay engagement pics!

It's happening for real...

For the past few days, the news of Amala Paul and AL Vijay heading for a split has been doing the rounds. Earlier there were reports of there being compatibility and lifestyle issues. But just yesterday we revealed to you how the real reason was Amala Paul's decision to continue working despite the Vijay's parents disapproval. Also, another source had stated lifestyle issues. Another report stated, Amala's over friendliness with a married Tamil actor has caused discord in the relationship. And now this news has been confirmed by Amala's Father-in-law, that is Vijay's father.

In a telephonic conversation with a leading channel, Vijay's father revealed how Amala's decision to continue working even post marriage has upset Vijay. Especially when Amala had agreed to stop acting once they got married. But on the contrary, she has been on a signing spree and that has created problems between the couple. "The news you heard about them getting divorced is 100% true and will be done legally" Vijay's father further revealed.

Her husband Vijay, who is working on Tamil-Telugu bilingual Devi, has refused to comment on the issue. "I don't want to talk anything about it. I will abide by my parent's decision," the director told a channel, indirectly confirming the buzz.

Two years ago, the once adorable couple met on the sets on Deiva Thirumagal where they fell in love. In fact, this was the film where her potential was realised after Mynaa. After three years of dating, they got married in a grand ceremony in June 2014. Up until 2015, there were several pictures of Amala Paul and Vijay even on social media, but off late there have been no snaps of the two, fuelling the split news even further.

Yikes! How could she have married such a jerk who despite being 30+ cannot make his own decisions of his marriage? And this was a love marriage for god's sake! God!! Can he grow a bloody spine?

few things stand out
1. he has problem with his wife working - dude I hope no woman works with you ever again

2. he will abide by his parents decision - no wonder he is son of his parents who have same set of ideals which have been passed around to their son

Naww, he is not spineless... he fell in love & married someone from another community - all without his parents permission... what he is , is being cunning... if he was not agreeable to the divorce, he would have made his move... regardless of his parents.

You know, I cant say I am surprised with the behaviour of his parents. They are old people from the previous generation, so they may not be so 'modern'.

What I cant understand is this guy.. who is from this generation.. went to a good school/college, works in the film industry himself.. knows how actresses work.. married an actress himself.. love marriage (another modern move).

But bummer.. he doesnt want her to work in movies and abides by the decision of his parents for divorce. Yuck.!

Yes, she was a hot and famous girl so it was convenient for him to marry her.. that she was from another community is a small thing before that.

But because she continues to pursue her passion post marriage, he has a problem with that.

This is the unfortunate reality of lakhs of working women. At one point you have to choose between marital bliss and your own independence. The women who choose the latter are made to feel like society's worst embarrassment. This is in a state like Kerala which has the highest literacy in India. Just imagine other places...Thats why I said the other day that people who call Zaroon sexist/chauvinist have no clue about the reality of women in the sub continent.

Most Indian men are tied to their mothers sari pallus till the day they die!!! It's absolutely disgusting & amusing. Poor lady. Someone should tell him that he can quit his work & sit at home, why doesn't he do a "proper" job, or any other ridiculous excuse. If he follows his passion & work in the industry, so should he. Let's see then if he will "abide by his parents decision." 😡 What a spineless, disgusting, idiotic WUSS!!! Total & complete put-off. I would've divorced him for just that one sentence.. If not, would've totally lost all respect & desire for him.

At least I am glad that she didn't suffer like other women and is divorcing her husband. So many women would simply not even consider the option of divorce purely because of the social stigma attached to it (at least in India). You become the trending topic in friends, family, workplace circles and they gossip at your expense.
