New Entry Krishna's son Shyam!!

And this climax will be witnessing a new entry in the form of Lord Shyam, the lesser known son of Lord Krishna. An absolute antithesis to his father, Shyam would be an angry and independent man, who wouldn't believe in his father's ideologies and concepts; which will enable the father-son duo to be at loggerheads.

I never heard about this...Please anyone can clarify from where this story?

The son's name is Samba, I think. He is apparently the son of Lord Krishna's 8th wife. He was married to Duryodhan's daughter. Lakshmana (I think) and was responsible for the destruction of the Yadukul. Thereby giving credence to Gandhari's curse.

samba was son of jambvati not bhadra ,lord krishna paid penance to lord shiva on the advice of rishi upamanyu and lord shiva gave Darshanot to lord krishna in the form of samba (ardhnarishvar)and blessed with a son like rudra, since shiva is god of destruction, krishna wanted to annahilate yaduvansh, since they were becoming troublesome and arrogant, few of the 16000 queens iwere getting attracted towards samba particularly nandini therefore they were cursed too by krishna that they will be taken away by robbers.

Is this totally fictionalized character ??!!😉

Is there any story in Purans or any folktale related to him ?

Not 8th wife. Samba was the first son of Krishna & Jambavati, and Krishna's 2nd son - after Pradhyumna (son of Krishna/Rukmini)

But Dwarka didn't have a yuvraj. Ugrasena was the king, and Dwarka had an uneasy coalition of Vrishnis - which Vasudeva's side of the clan was from - and Andhakas - which Devaki's side was from. There was no stated successor just to maintain the balance of power. Krishna was a unifying force, but beyond him, the Yadavas were split.

For this reason, after Arjun brought the surviving Yadavas out of Dwarka, he settled the Andhakas in a kingdom ruled by Kritavarma's son Bali, who was married to Krishna/Rukmini's daughter Charumati. Satyaki's son was made the ruler of the Vrishnis, and Vajra, Pradhyumna's grandson, succeeded Ugrasena as the ruler of Mathura.

Samba's marriage to Laksmanaa was nothing like what was shown in the serial. During the Pandava exile, Lakshmanaa's swayamvara was arranged by Duryodhan, and Samba crashed the swayamvara and abducted her, over her objections. Since she was touched by him, she was ineligible to marry anyone else, and the Kauravas captured and imprisoned him. Balarama came to Hastinapur to get him released, and when he was initially rebuffed, he uprooted Hastinapur w/ his plow and put it into the Ganga. The terrified Kauravas not only released Samba, but also handed over Lakshmanaa in marriage to her.

Which is why Gandhari's curse to Krishna was weird, given that she was in effect widowing her own grand-daughter. Also, Lakshmanaa-Samba's marriage was the reason Krishna had to split his support b/w Arjun - Subhadra's hubby - and Dury - Samba's FIL

None of Krishna's 16,100 queens were attracted to Samba. After the coronation of Vajra, 3 of Krishna's queens - Satyabhama, Lakshmanaa (not Samba's wife) and Satya - retired to the Himalayas, 5 of them - Rukmini, Jambavati, Kalindi, Bhadra & Mitravindya - committed sati and the 16,100 wives from Narakasura drowned themselves in the Saraswati.

But there was plenty of inbreeding among the Yadavas, who were too self contained. Therefore, when Arjun was escorting the womenfolk to Indraprastha, the robbers on the way not only robbed them, but also abducted many/most of the young women in the retinue. Arjun was defeated and could only watch as they were abducted. The rest of them were taken to Indraprastha.
