Twinj Drabble : a token of love

It was late at night when Kunj returned home from his meeting.

Taking the decision of working independently and making it big alone had taken up a toll on him.

He had been offered the job of a successfully running architectural business and life couldn't have been better for him.

He was being paid enough to be able to satisfy himself and his loved ones.

Entering the main door of the house,he was welcomed with a pitch dark surrounding

Sighing,he took his phone out of the pocket and switched on the "torch"

Letting the light be his path,he found his way to the room careful enough to not disturb anyone with his presence.

Opening the door,he found the room to be brightly lit completely contrasting to the darkness.

When will she overcome her fear of darkness,wondered Kunj.

He found Twinkle sitting on her side of the bed half lying down,her back leaning against the headboard,her head dipped inside the book which she kept close to her face.

Kunj smiled at the sight Infront of him.
How cute did she look while trying to concentrate reading the book.

Feeling someone's gaze on her,Twinkle looked up to find Kunj leaning near the door,looking at her with a big smile on his face.

"What?",asked Twinkle smiling back at him

"looking at you",said Kunj casually

"Don't make me self conscious"

"You're beautiful"

The intensity in his eyes made Twinkle shiver

"How was your day?",asked Twinkle distracting herself before she lost control over her hormones

"The usual,I got something for you"

"Really?",Asked Twinkle excitedly

"Yeah,I got my first month's salary today"

"That's amazing",said Twinkle as she hugged him tight

She knew how much Kunj was working hard and she felt proud of his achievement.

"Wrong timing,take your gift and hug me tight again but this time I need a kiss too",chuckled Kunj

"You got me a gift?",asked Twinkle as she came out of the hug

"Of course,it's my first salary,how could I have not got something for you"

Twinkle's eyes glistened with tears

"I love you so much"

"I love you too my siyappa queen,now go and take your gift from my suitcase"

Twinkle ran across the room and grabbed the bag,pulling the pink coloured box out of his bag.

Opening it,she found a beautiful watch.
It looked like it was made just for her

"It's beautiful Kunj",said Twinkle hugging him again

"I'm glad you liked it"

Before he could lean in for a kiss,Twinkle moved aside

"I have something for you too",said Twinkle proudly

Kunj looked at her confusingly

"Well I was supposed to give it to you next month on your birthday but I can't wait anymore"

Twinkle rushed towards the cupboard removed an album out of it.

She went Infront of him and passed on the album

Still confused,Kunj opened the album to find pictures of them on different occasions.All the pictures had messages written on them by her.

There were pictures of Kunj laughing as Twinkle looked on and one where Twinkle laughing looking at Kunj's shocked expression

"I've been compiling these pictures since a while now",stated Twinkle

Kunj looked up at her emotionally

She moved forward and wiped away the lone tear that struggled to come out of his eyes and began

"Your gift tells the time,mine holds it"
