I have never seen Salman Khan say that he offered a movie to Deepika (She was offered a movie with Salman before Om Shanti Om which was 10 years ago). Also I have never seen Deepika say that she rejected Salman's movie. However, Kabir did say he did not offer Deepika BB. But it's not Deepu's fault as she never claimed she was. May be her PR did.

Rumors about Deepika Padukone to star in Salman Khan's next are making rounds for a long time now. However, after much speculations, a source close to the film has spilled the beans.

If reports in a leading entertainment portal are to be believed, Deepika Padukone is no more a part of Salman Khan's next film titled 'Tubelight' that will be directed by Kabir Khan.

A source revealed to the portal, "Kabir Khan's team has already finalised their female lead and it's not Deepika Padukone. A Chinese actress will be debuting opposite Salman in this film. Deepika has already assigned her dates to Sanjay Leela Bhansali's Padmavati and it is quite likely that the actress can manage another film considering how particular Sanjay Leela Bhansali is about his star's dedication towards his projects." (sic)

While fans were eagerly waiting to see this jodi together, it seems the makers had some other plans. But, we surely missed on amazing performances as both the stars are exceptionally great performers and when two amazing talents meet, a package full of entertainment is sure to blast! Sadly, we won't get to see that now.

However, there will surely be an intersting part in the film as Salman's younger brother Sohail Khan is going to play his onscreen sibling too.

'Tubelight' is a period film on the backdrop of the Indo-Chinese war and is slated to hit the silver screens in Eid next year.

Happy that Deepika is not a part of it 🥳
