The clap trap!

We've unearthed some more dope on the Salman Khan-Himesh Reshammiya spat. Of all the spats in Bollywood, the one between Salman and his ex-protege Himesh has been a little more celebrated than others. Naturally, since both are big stars and both have hugely colourful personalities.

That's why when Sallu suddenly stopped promoting Himesh and insisting on having him in every film of his, and Himesh stopped referring to Sallu as 'God', everyone tried to find out what caused the rift between the two. When asked directly, Himesh once said, "Salman and I did have a difference of opinion over a concert in Nagpur a year ago. But it's sorted out now.

And if we don't meet often nowadays, it's because we're both busy with our respective careers." But Himesh refused to divulge any more details.

Now we've found out what exactly this 'difference of opinion' was, at Nagpur. The story goes that the Nagpur audiences went berserk over Himeshbhai at this concert. In fact, there were so happy to see him on stage that they went hysterical clapping, whistling and cheering for him.

Himesh is a charmer on stage and he had the audiences completely with him. Now, Salman too was part of the same show, and he naturally expected to be the star of the evening. But he received a far more modest applause than Himesh. As it turned out, Himesh was the real star of the show.

This hurt Sallu's ego - as it would hurt any top star's ego. He probably couldn't fathom how his yesterday's bachcha (all of Himesh's early assignments, right down to Tere Naam, came only courtesy Salman) could overshadow him so completely. And that's when Salman and Himesh stopped talking to each other completely.
