Thank you all for those beautiful birthday messages last night. All you beautiful souls have made my day in ways I would never be able to put into words. I wish I could thank each of one you personally to the moon and back but then I fear I might leave someone out and that is the real danger as I don't want to commit that stupidity and defile my own inhibitions after such a wonderful day. So after all this I guess only two words matter: Thank You!🤗
Last night's episode was, well what's the word am I looking for, oh yeah I got it- a filler!
They could have explored a lot more than what they did, but the focus was a few scenes after which it was the staple diet in offering by our chaar sher. Overlooking all that some genuine moments had been offered and I guess those took us by a storm as everyone enjoyed it making it a memorable watch.
So it begins with Anika experiencing a bout of terror run up her spine when she sees the dark. I don't really know what to make of this at the moment, but it is a peek into her psyche no doubt. She might that happy, bubbly, claw-in-cat but she has her fears rooted deep in her. It is like an ever present shadow that she is unable to shake off no matter what. Maybe the dark triggers pain of an unknown sort in her and that is why she fears of what may happen if the pain really takes over. I want her vulnerabilities to explored in a similar manner, just like her strength is. It is a loop that will open sometime in the near future. Dadi knows of her fear, Shivaay doesn't. Maybe this will make recoil and bend and ask his much needed forgiveness. I am ambivalent on this front. I would like to see how this shapes up to make any further assessment of the same.
Moving on, one by one every member of the house rather every sibling of Shivaay makes way to Anika making Shivaay scowl. I felt he has a characteristic childish trait that doesn't like anyone mixing deeper with his siblings than him. (I can totally relate to this one as I have a younger brother about whom I am very possessive. If anyone tries to mix with him more, my head is one fire, literally!) He tolerated Piku going to her as, let's face it he being a man can never help Piku out in her girly dilemmas but he was surely unhappy seeing Om and Rudra flock to her as well. I am kind of surprised that Shivaay didn't jump up and down, like an orangutan, in anger seeing his brothers switch sides. I had been expecting Phone No. 80 to break or volcanoes to erupt or the sky to come crashing down. Nothing of that happened really. Have to give it to the dude that he handled it so maturely!😆
So the conversation we had badly wanted to witness was finally shown. A heart-to-heart between OmRu and Anika. Of course we had a glimpse of the same in the opening episode but that was a formal talk. Up now it was a more deep and earnest beginning of a relationship between the three.
Rudra had been feeling guilty about his actions that had led to the massive heated debate between Anika and Shivaay. So like a sweet, adorable bacha he came to apologize to his new found Didi. (Okay is it me or he looks super cute while addressing Anika didi?) He fumbles while apologizing as it is his first time that he has said a sorry. Anika had genuine expressions of happiness. This would be a relationship which would imitate a doting mother and an over pampered kid. Rudra is undoubtedly going to be the most favorite one in the entire Oberoi lot for Anika. I am waiting for the day when these two would team up and bring the house down with their kaands!🤣
On the other hand Om and Anika felt like a friendship that will grow deeper and stronger with time. There'd be something motherly, something sisterly and everything beautiful on that front. I am looking forward to see Om and Anika gel more closely, surely she'd drive him nuts but he is going to love her back unconditionally that is. One thing that deserves a mention is that Om is a high-on-alert person. His senses are ticked the moment there is something worthwhile shows up. No sooner did Anika mention the chip than Om was alerted into thinking what information had she been broadcasting all the while. You can see he is a dormant man. Aloof and willingly sidelined from major actions but even then he keeps himself armed with knowledge that would come handy in future battles. I like these kind of characters. They begin looking like another pawn in the game but they quickly take steps and reach the position of the Knight; one of the most dangerous pieces on the chess board after the mighty Queen herself. A knight takes two and half steps every time it walks and that is the reason for major agitation in the enemy camp. My beliefs that he is the guy who will be exiled just strengthen after this peek-a-boo. His enemies have assessed him, and that is one reason why all of them want to see him break, because a broken knight is of no use.
So Anika asked him about the raaz of his beautiful, silken locks! 😆I guess every girl that meets Om would bomb this one question without hesitation. And Rudra is now her new fitness guru! All chotey bhai are so. Mine has arranged me a fitness trainer because he cannot see me as flab and fabulous. Oh chotey bhaiyas, why are you so??😳
Next up what is it with Robin and why is Rudra after his life??? I mean it is like he has decided he will not let this constipated fellow breath normally. Amina was absolutely right when she had pointed out that Tia doesn't have to worry about Anika coming in between her and Shivaay. She needs to be worried about Rudra, the saat saal kii ladki with abs, who is extremely possessive about his Shivaay!😆 He is going to go to lengths to break off this nuptial. He might call on his angels, demons or come up with maanglik dosh on the kundalis of the two to stop this wedding.🤣 His hate for Tia is not because of her nature that screams being fake but because he has his own insecurities about losing out his priority position in the life of Shivaay. Anika is slow spreading warmth, but once she takes you as her own she will keep you cherished there until her heart stops beating. She can give her all much like Shivaay does for his brothers. That is one reason why Rudra likes her so much. Tia isn't that, she wants Shivaay all for herself and this is something Rudra has observed intently. This is the major reason why he is so against this marriage. She will never allow Shivaay and Rudra to remain as close once she is in the former's life. Anika on the other hand would adjust and let Rudra still occupy the major chunk of Shivaay and her life as well. Rudra, with all his madness and eccentricities, is able to see through things. He can look at things and understand the undercurrents. This is one major reason why he hates Tia and adores Anika.
So coming back to Rudra and Robin. Man he has picked his new target, he will now knead him into killing himself for sure. He is enjoying this shiny-new-toy and will break it brutally like toddlers do. Or maybe he'd make him so mad that Robin would run away like crazy crying for help all the while. I want to see that. Please give Rudra the center stage and this shaadi will be unforgettable!😆
One scene that I'd like to point out to is Jhanvi's bitter-sweet reminiscing of her Haldi ceremony. The way she had been describing it all, with a harmonic pain, told us so much. She had started on her nuptial with all the love a dewy-eyed young girl does. She had felt a pang when her mother had been crying over her shoulder, she had felt elated when the laal chunrii was gifted to her and had glowed when the Haldi had been applied to her frame. Lord knows what detour she took once she tied her knot that things have now come to this. Om's single look confirmed a similar doubt. He was happy seeing his mom contribute to the marriage of his beloved brother, but he was also sad that her own marriage went through such a rocky patch of time. I don't know if I am imagining things but Pinki seemed to share a similar look seeing her Jethani Ji.
The tashan between Anika and Shivaay was worth all that taam-jhaam I guess. Anika, the one we face now, is coming across as a strong woman no doubt. She has claws and is using them in a manner that Shivaay would have never deemed possible. She is out to ravage and ravage completely now that she is free of fear or worries on her part. Dadi has additionally supplied her with an invincible armor and now she can cast lethal blows much to her heart's content. I liked that she turned the tables on Shivaay without even him realizing the same. She used his cheque to slap him on his face. That was a mighty move no doubt. Again it is Om who rushes with questions that how come Shivaay gave her a cheque even before she joined? So it feels like Om is going to step up and clear it out between the two. But nonetheless, it was Kodak moment. Shivaay who has never known failure is now making an appointment with the same? I will disagree with Om; it is neither hate nor love with between the two. Each sees the other as a challenge, a quest that each wants to win. So far each is posing to be a hindrance to the other and that is why they want to bring the walls down. It is not love, hate or remorse that is guiding them, but it is this lust for win that is. The stupid fools aren't realizing that their stubbornness will result in nothing that have pre-planned. I feel like Shivika is now going somewhere. Although before any romantic notions clear out the slate. Shivaay needs to make it upto Anika and apologize for all that he has done to her previously.
There is one beautiful scene that needs to be made mention of. When Anika asks that is Shivaay their real brother, Rudra replies that they are first cousin but Om points it out that they love him like they love each other and he loves them back. Anika was surprised at that and maybe had a diluted love cropping up somewhere in her. Indeed they are One for all, All for one.
Do fire your editors please. What was the need of having Ishana's scene? And if they were needed, couldn't it be blended into the episodic story a little more sympathetically? You people literally slapped her on our faces! And why did Ishana run out to look for Mona/Noni? First she should have called her up. The goon was playing on her psyche by sending her a picture of her sister. He must have not harmed her, he was only building up a tension in her and Ishana ran out taking the bait in her mouth. This is like the oldest trick in the book. Ishana is a con-artist, a person who is high on intelligence. How could she not use that brain of hers? Also I find no connect with her whatsoever all thanks to the blotched up characterization of hers. She might as well run to the moon and back but would never be able to evoke empathy in me because I don't dig majboor frauds.
Rudra's shayari again takes the cake.
Ghantey katey ghadi dekh, raatein kati taarey gin-gin.
Finally itni der baad kuch toh bola Robin
Yaad aati hai mujhe meri nani, irshaad, yaad aati hai mujhe meri nani,
Ye Anika hai, ya Anika ambani?
🤣
Precap: The much needed stuff from Shivaay. So far there has been no damage control after the MMS incident. Hopefully we'll now see something on that front.
Okay then, that's a wrap.
