I respect your opinion, and I don't want to talk about whether Ishana is suitable for Om or not but I'd like to address this part of your post, if you don't mind.I strongly disagree that people who are similar in character do not make a good pair. Why wouldn't they? I believe that subconsciously, most people seek partners whom they have many things in common with, especially when it comes to settling down and such things. They'd have a great understanding, specifically if both partners are mature, they'd have the potential to grow and learn together as time passes and they can be more compatible in the long run. Likeness does attract likeness, in many cases. We could say it's boring (which I don't think it is) but real life is not a TV serial, how many of us truly would want such dramas to unfold in our own lives? And even in shows, we have had people with similar characteristics casted opposite each other like Viren-Jeevika and Maanvi-Viraat from EHMMBH or Kabir-Nisha from NAUC, and I'm sure there are many other examples, as well - pairs which had great chemistry and which people enjoyed a lot.@bold: Same applies to couples, whether opposites or not, who have been together for years or even less. At one point, you'll know each other inside out, that's how many relationships work. Should they not be together just because there's nothing new to learn about each other? Of course not; it's great if you have reached a level in your relationship where you understand your partner without effort, where you know them as much as they know themselves and where you are aware of every detail revolving around your partner. Besides, there's always something to learn in life, learn together, grow together. Challenges most often come in form of circumstances, after all.Having said that, I'm not denying that opposites attract, and they do make for a good story if executed well like everything else. Neither am I saying that Ishana is totally unsuitable for Om, she might turn out to be good for him, actually. It all depends on how their story progresses. Even if I am not impressed, right now, it might change- they've just started, after all. It's in the hands of the writers.
