Apprehensive about the upcoming Pooja

I used to think Devs stubbornness was a good thing. It may occasionally cause some problems, but that stubbornness can also be depended upon when it comes to core issues, such as his love for Sona, his commitment to family. Infact he actually coerced Sona into treating his mother at home even if it was immoral... That's how committed/stubborn he is supposed to be.

Religious beliefs are very personal and people rarely change their beliefs one way or another unless a life altering incident occurs.
I don't know what's CVs are planning to do regarding this pooja thing but if they show that he became a believer now , his stubbornness or his core beliefs are not even worth the paper they are written on.

At that point I wouldn't count on his stubbornness/commitment on any thing .. Including Sona.

I am a religious person. So obviously I don't have a problem with Dev being religious. But I am of the opinion that it's not easy to make an atheist out of a religious person or vice versa. Atleast not with a few words.. considering the fact that Ishwari must have tried every trick in the book and how earnest she can be ..and for 20 years...

Even if it's just too sit there not actually start believing, it won't matter. Ishwari was asking for the same for years..

They really didn't need this angle to make Ishwari realize how much influence Sona has on him. They could have shown that in any number of ways. This just feels contrived and dramatic rather than realistic.

Let's just wait and see how it unfolds... but I am a bit apprehensive...

Right now we have no clue that he is atheist or he is angry with God..we can't judge epi..plus we don't even know why he will sit in Puja..we need to wait and watch...having no religious belief ..or having anger and betrayed feel from super power is different...sp let's wait for epi..because we don't know why in first place Dev is not interested on god

I understand you're point and that's what I am waiting to see how it unfolds. However Ishwari categorically says that "Dev bhagwan ko nahi manta" A 20 year old belief or opinion doesn't change with a few words. I am not saying people cannot change. Ofcourse they can and even beliefs...

But never overnight!!! If it happens it happens gradually and we have not seen any evidence of it.

On an unrelated note, I think Satyanarayan pooja is unique in that it doesnt need an auspicious day. It can be performed on any day. Correct me if I am wrong.

As we have already seen Ishwari is no good when it comes to convincing or making her children's understand the value of rituals, take example of Neha. She rather forces her belief's on others without considering the person in front might have an valid opinion/reasoning/a story behind, about it. Ya she opts for emotional blackmailing when it comes to Dev, though it doesn't work on someone like Neha since she knew Ishwari to the core.

Also, sitting in the Puja doesn't make a person atheist. You are right no one changes their belief's in a day or two and I believe cv's had before n even now would keep things realistic in the show. That's why our KRPKAB is different.

A person might just do it for it would make his close ones happy for the day and we know Dev would do anything for his family. Perhaps Sona made him understand in a better way. I wouldn't call it convincing him but making one understand what one could do without changing ones belief or hurting others is important here. Remember Sona never forces her opinion on anyone but gives it as a suggestion with logic n patience which Ishwari lacks. Moreover Sona's view doesn't change from person to person like Ishwari's does. So what Sona says has more substance.

A change in perspective, a different approach, situations presented in different light... Are usually why people generally go ahead and do things they would otherwise not do. This is how when people debate or want to reach a conclusion over something talk and dicuss... Showing a different perspective which the person may not have thought of does the trick... No matter how old the problem is... If we r able to see how and why the other opinion is good I don't think anyone takes time to abide by it.
The CVS have already done this earlier... Dev was opposed to his mom's fasting... During the Gujrat deal she kept a fast and hid it from him... Sona not only went ahead and told Dev that his mom was fasting and that he should let her.. He got angry so she just said to him this was a way of his mom of being connected to him... To be able to do something for him coz now he is grown up and she can't tend to him like a young child so he should let her do what's in her hands still for him... And Dev complied... I don't see anything V drastic that took him to get convinced then but sona showed him a different perspective of looking at the same issue. The outcome was Ishwari cd keep a fast for him... Let's just wait and watch what the CVS want to show us... But it is not going to be some path breaking thing for sure... Just a different approach.. That's all.

Fasting even when Dev says no, getting up and about.. Doing things when she is not feeling well are things Dev has little control over and frankly not major issues. Not dieting as per doctors instructions .. All these fall under tantrums rather than strong beliefs.

This is not the case here. This is about his own beliefs and perceptions. When it comes to his own opinions he is ...very opinionated😉 ...like trying to give gifts to Neha. He might even budge there because other persons are involved like Ranveer.

In this case he actually has little reason to change his beliefs overnight.. As it doesn't affect anyone but himself. People do strange things for others but here it's not like Dev doesn't know that Ishwari is unhappy about this but he has been doing it for ages.

Why sudden about turn?

Still CVs have so far done a great job with various complicated issues. Let's hope they continue the trend here and not another marriage day walla forced drama.

Hey can't u put across ur view without being sarcastic??? Are any of us being sarcastic even though we don't agree on all that we r discussing . I can understand u have different views and u shall share them but why always so so sarcastic... The makers won't go as per any of our wishes whether we like it or not... We can think as much as we want... It's not gonna change a thing.
