29th January 2005 was a tense day for the 30 contestants who were competing for the single title of "Grasim Mr. India 2005". The morning began with a One to One interview of each contestant with all the judges. The panel of judges included: Mandira Bedi, Gayatri Joshi, Priyanka Chopra, Fardeen Khan, Anita Raj, H.E. Ms. Laura Q. Del Rosario, Rocky S. and Nandana Sen. A 3 minute session with the judges decided the fate of the contestant. On the basis of these scores the top 9 contestants were selected. Results were announced during the main event:
