Tere Bin TV Review: A mature love story dealing with love and loss
It deals with the theme of extramarital affairs
We have seen many shows that deal with the sacrifice of love due to circumstances'. Tere Bin also belongs to the same genre. It tells the story of Dr Akshay who is married to Vijaya. The two are affluent and busy in their careers. It is not love but a sense of responsibility towards their eight-year-old daughter, Neeti (Mahi Kanani) that binds them together.
After years, Dr Akshay bumps into his former flame Dr Nandini (Khusboo Tawde) at an operation theatre. He recognizes but she refuses to acknowledge that she knows him. Both are overcome by a storm of emotions on seeing each other but don't voice it out. It is a lot similar to Yash Chopra's classic Silsila in that sense. Akshay feels a renewed sense of anticipation on seeing Nandini but she does not respond. Vijaya is the busy modern wife who finds faults in her husband.
Actor Gaurav Khanna plays the lead of Dr Akshay on the show. The actor is in fine form as the authoritative head doctor but we have to see how he fares as a man caught between duty, love and longing. Actress Shefali Sharma whom we know as Bani from the show, Bani - Ishq Da Kalma plays Vijaya. She is in fine form as the modern progressive working woman. Actress Khushboo Tawde plays the part of Nandini, who is Akshay's ex-flame. We did not see much of the kid so far.
Keeping with the trend of relatable shows, Tere Bin is also in the same genre. We did not see any excess melodrama, extra loud background score or close ups that define many dailies. Tomorrow's episode promises to be an emotional one. If you are keen to watch a drama that focuses on complex relations, Tere Bin is for you.
