I wanted to an analysis on this gorgeous lady right from the first episode but didn't get how to put it right. As I was sitting, drooling in office over Om's pictures đ I put all my points about Jhaanvi together..
A character that breaks all the stereotypes about the way Gul's mothers are potrayed. Scared, bold, beautiful, outspoken, intelligent, caring and loving.. These are what define Jhaanvi the most. If you would see other shows of Gul, there are pretty mothers, intelligent mothers, caring mothers and etc.. But you don't get to see all in one. Jhaanvi is one such lady who is an all-in-one combo box.
Having led a life where she knows her husband is in a horrendous affair with some vile woman and hiding it just for the sake of her sons and the family's happiness, I salute her for this. Not every woman has the strength to accept this fact and adjust for the sake of her family. She doesn't want money. She doesn't want property. All she wants is happiness for her four kids.. Yes four.. Shivaay is included. Sometimes I feel Shivaay is more of Jhaanvi's son than Pinky's. Pinky only cares about her son becoming the heir but Jhaanvi wants true happiness for Shivaay. She has that heart to give love.
As years pass by, she had confided in herself that this is how she had to live - having a husband who has an affair with someone else. After so many attempts at trying to sheild her sons away from this devastating truth and failing miserably, she confined herself to a world of her own where she adapted to alcohol to erase her worries. But then.. But then still, she never lost her ground. SHe stood it even when Svetlana taunted her. She knew how to give it back to the enemies. When it came to family, she becomes the lioness. And when it comes to her sons, she becomes the fierce motherr. Thay day, when the clip came infront of all, she was that broken lady who had lost all hoped from life. Her only source of existence are her sons and now her husband whom she loved so dearly spoke about divorcing her, her world came tumbling down and she turned into a broken-hearted lover.
But then, she had to br strong for her sons. And then her husband speaks to her and she remnisces her old memories with him and she lets out tears. There was a love-deprived wife.. Then we get to see the caring mother who has equal love for her three sons. Who cares if he's not her blood.. Mother is a mother and mother's love is a mother's love.. That time as Tej came down for breakfast, I saw a dutiful wife.. As they both spoke to each other, there was a lady who wanted to talk. Talk, talk and talk to her husband about each and everything in life..
These shades surely are being potrayed wonderfully by Mreenal đ And hats off to Gul for bringing such a complicated yet beautiful character onscreen..
