Hello again. These are precisely the time when I am left hopping on two boats knowing not what to do further. My classes are all set to begin and I don't want to discontinue writing but the limited time on my hands speaks otherwise!! So will it be safe to say I don't know whether this *gesturing to all of it* will continue any further or not. Sorry in advance if I don't do a show-up next and welcome aboard for the present one.😳
So the episodic rendition again begins with supposed love-couple throwing water or jabs at each other. I really don't know what to make of this. I do understand that an Ultra Rich specie such as Shivaay Singh Oberoi must have his fingers dipped in all possible pies to milk out the desired result. I do understand that with a snap of his fingers he can make or break the fates of many but what I don't understand is why is he going all out on breaking a girl who has no contacts, who poses him no threats and is basically a thing of no consequence in his life. These are the zeroed on moments that ring it out loud saying the story is forced. Anika as a character has made quite a lot of progress and Shivaay has shown to be full of layers...with individuals established so well why is it that together they are unable to hold the interests of all? It is a shame that the makers are churning such plots that is somehow destroying sanctity of what could be a potentially good story. Anyways my hopes on this one, which already had been dwindling in single digits, have now completely given up. I don't even think that one can be redeemed any further. There were a lot of logical or possible ways of handing the treatment to Anika, but apparently the guy has to keep popping up leaving behind his days business only to sell what they call as chemistry. I'd like to call it gross invasion of privacy...but then again I am a small speck and my rants won't probably make a difference.
And now enters Ishana. A girl who is high on life and money and ways to get going about the same. She sees money when she looks at the pictures of ObBros and now has decided it is time to con them into submission. But then she opens her mouth and I am set thinking is she a proper con-artist for real?? Shivaay would never be a potential target not because he is a khadoos, but because he is a cut-throat business man. His forte is that he trusts no one apart from his brothers and likes to measure the moat before building a bridge over it. He is the kind of guy who after seeing the light at the end of the tunnel sets his brain into thinking that it is a light coming from an oncoming train, and how exactly he is to avoid the damage. Conning him would be lethal because if he gets a whiff of what is in store for him he will strike with finality and that would be the end game.
Rudra is the easiest fry because he wears his heart on his sleeve. He believes all that he sees and that is the reason why he lands up in trouble half the time. To go about him wouldn't even require a fool proof plan, all you had to do was spin a sob story, add in elements of truth, look the part and viola! You have what want. Ishana zeroed on Om which is a mistake. He is someone who feels passionately about everything and lashes his being to the same. He is the most screwed up target as he will bind her to him somehow and when that happens Ishana will fail. And as they say fear the wrath of the calm...when that time indeed comes Ishana will have no escape and that will be when doom graces her door. All this tells you that maybe Ishana is not a proper con-woman at all; had she been the same she would have worked her way up before landing on Omkara. And they are the heirs of the richest family in the town; is she really thinking that she'd get past them so easily. I am sorry this character has kind of failed to get into my books.
I don't know about you guys but I hold reservoir of respect for con-artists. You have to appreciate their intelligence that happens to be their only weapon. They prey on the psyche of their victims and manipulate them into thinking and acting as they wish. The scariest part of them is that they are blessed with a sharp brain and can plan and execute with murderous accuracy. They are ruthless and for them the remorse dies with act after which they molt their identities and take up a new one. Ishana is anything but that. She doesn't have that bone in her that would cast her in the true blood of the profession. She lacks the brush that swipe over her guilt; she will fall and will fall badly. And this is what I don't like. Why can't evil or cunning survive its term on Indian TV. But I guess my optimistic heart still is holding cards hoping that she'd surprise us the way Anika did. Here's to that flickering hope but as of now, no I did not like Ishana and am hitching my ride with Riddhima.
Vrushika was okay-ish. Neither too stellar nor too drab. Right in the middle and that was okay? I would like to see more of her as she looks like she'd improve. At least the glitches that were omni-present in her previous shows was absent in here and with a director like Lalit Mohan there is great deal of chance that she might turn out far better than how she was introduced. I would like to look forward to both her character and acting chops to see what to make of it. For as of now I am liking this Riddhima girl and hoping she'd give me the mature love story that I am craving for Om.
Again the best part of the episode centered on Jhanvi. Give me more of Jhanvi and the ObBros and I will really forgive you all for practically choking romance down my throat! How happy the boys were with Jhanvi and that happiness was reflected on Jhanvi as well. See, she does care about her sons though she is unable to let it out all the time but she cares. She must have been a great mother to all the three for them to love her without any restrictions or inhibitions. That scene was so beautiful that it is difficult to let it flow in words. Shivaay was relaxed and that is something worth mentioning as this kind of stature he achieves only when he is with Om or Rudra or both. The fact that Jhanvi holds a similar calm on him is enough an evidence that she played his mother and not Pinki. How seamlessly she blended with the three sons clearly calling them out the way she calls out Omkara. Today when she chided Rudra lovingly, it was evident that she never was worried about him the way she did for Om. The reason being simple that he was shielded by Shivaay and Omkara, the two of her sons who have made her so proud in all these years. She is one gem of a person and no wonder the ObBros like to be on guard as far as she is concerned. So Shivaay prepared pancakes for her and she was served the same with all the love in the world. I love mother-sons duo. They are simply such beauty that you have an immediate calming effect on you.
But the surprise factor was again Tej. What exactly is brewing between him and Jhanvi that has suddenly pressed the age old buttons of love? They might have started out in this very manner, having happy and pleasant thoughts without thinking of what will happen next. When Jhanvi offers him her plate and request him to dine over the same, there is no doubt that crosses his face. It speaks so much. There was love. There was romance and there was harmony between the two that was somehow disrupted. And now since the chasm is out in the open the old cordiality is seeping in. Yes it is taking up the speed of a sloth, yet it is marking its way in. Jhanvi and Tej are my OTP. I ship them and no one else. Yes, their chemistry is a thousand times better than what their sons can have! Mrinal and Mahesh are brilliant with their characters and younger folks take note, this is how you do romance!!
Om, Shivaay and Rudra are in for a shock at seeing such cordiality oozing out from such an estranged couple. Om is the happiest one as this is what he had been craving for all his life and now life has decided to not be cruel on him. His eyes spoke volumes about the mirth that had been sweeping him over. Shivaay was happy and maybe more so because his Om was happy. Rudra again wasn't bothered much as his parents have been his brothers though his childlike innocence was seen creeping over the precipice that he usually keeps it locked in. But there was a twinge of sadness in there as well when Shivaay mentioned choti choti khushiyon ke liye bhi sapne dekhne padtey hain.' I just can't imagine as children how difficult it must have been for them to cope up. Please show us the glimpses of their childhood, I for one would like to see how were they when they had been kids.
Pinki is quite confusing, she seems to be a genuine thaali ka baingan, rolling around as and when the tide turns. Please show some emotions woman, most us have voted on you...please don't screw us collectively!
I understand that Anika has a lot to do with the series but to have her dominating the screen when the series is all about the brothers. Tone that down CV's and our lives would brighten up. And Nakul is so much more than a pretty face; use his skills!!
And please fire or change your editor as he/she is doing one messed up job. The scenes when a parallel of Shivika and Ishkara was shown it felt all scattered to the wind and I had no idea where to focus and where not also when a scene appeared and disappeared I had no idea!
Make use of the security team please. I really can't understand why did you people spend so much on them when the heirs of the Richie Rich family are seen travelling without someone guarding their precious lives. And they travel in Mumbai locals? Waah...aise toh all us girls would get our rich and handsome just by boarding a local train.
Precap: Again it did not happen in my world.😎
Adios amigos!
